yes, but what you are trying to tell me is that they are THAT delicate. So if your ripping around a corner and hit a big bump or a dipped down manhole cover you need an alingment? don't think so..

I only took the lower bolts out and put them back in the exact same without any load on the car or suspension. it should be fine, once i get my struts and swaybar in, then i'll take it for an alignment

My motor is long out of the truck and disassembled We've also cleaned everything and most of the parts are painted. Oil pan, block, valve cover are Chevy orange (head will also get the same colour once it gets machined). The rest of the small stuff (timing chain cover, motor mounts, EGR, misc. brackets, starter, etc) are all a light Pontiac blue. (no reason for the colour scheme....). Head, pistons, crank go into the machine shop on Monday.
Rings, oil pump waiting in Lordco.
Will order rod and main bearings as soon as we mic the crank/rods
Gaskets (upper and lower set), spark plugs, misc other stuff sitting in the garage

should start going back together late next week

Installed new windshield wipers... Damn the old oens had this big ass contraption holding it to the wiper arms taht I couldn't for the life of me get off cause the "clip didn't actually clip into the arm. so whenevr I pressed it. it wouldn't release it. needless to say I grabbed a standard screw driver, pliers and wire cutters and gaver. After rippnig them apart, literally. I find taht the little release button was udnerneath where there was NO way in hell I could get it unless I go from udner the wiper witha flat head to pshu it. but on the DA, the wipers don't fold uot all the way, only like a 30* angle. what a bitch......

today's mods: got my sunroof to open fully, and slide all the way to the back, just took some freeing up of the mechanism and it's good to go.

also, ran the mini headphone jack output on the sirius radio into the aux input on my deck, the sound is so much better now than before running on the FM broadcast, CBC radio runs around the same frequency as the Sirius broadcast and I would get quite a bit of interference.. sounded like ass.

at full wheel crank, the inner of the forks rub the cv axles slightly. Nothing major at all.

other mods of the day:
compression check... 145 across the board.. it's showing a little wear but still within spec.. 155 is optimum

and changed plugs to a colder heat range, with a proper gap..

and got rid of my backfiring by leaning it out, and resetting ecu. fuel trims are probably back to where they should be.

That is so re-assuring to hear!!! i can definately live with that.

Now because the struts are eg/dc and theyre going into a DA what are the ride heights going to be like.. am i going to use all the adjustability of the perches just to get the car to sit level?
