haha.. troubles backing in a 38foot trailer and single axle tractor!

just wait till you get to back up a full size highway tractor with a shitty turning radius, and a 53 foot tri-axle trailer!

53 foot trailers are easier from what i've heard.. that was the first time i ever tried! haha

edit: also the parking lot was full in front of the loading bay, so i couldn't just pull forward and back straight down it.. had to start sideways.. i thought it was kinda hard, bet i could do it better now though.

ahh yes.. that could be a bit tough....
53's don't respond to manuevers as quickly so they won't go too off course when backing up, but they are awkward and don't turn around corners well

i would really like to try driving a truck and get my class 1

i drive a superduty hauling a 23' trailer every day at work and park it in some amazing places every day. im sure its a hell of alot harder to drive a rig, but its a step in the right dirrection.

the industry is in dire need of class1 licensed drivers right now... all the baby boomers are retiring from trucking..

lots of fleets are offering around 50k a year plus home every weekend with newer equipment

I'm tempted myself, even DCT chambers drivers pull in around 55K+ and they stay somewhat local. Once your an owner op you can pull in some nice cash.
