sounds cool bob, let us know how it goes

and Toby ya i thought about just buying that entire car up at south island, but really its more of a hassle since i just want to get the supra back together ASAP.

still thinkin' about it tho, since then i'd have the engine too, minus some parts... hmm

I noticed my rad just started leaking, found a few hairline cracks on the top.

I guess I'll probably just JB weld for now and see what happens. If it's not one thing it's always another! On the upside I finally got around to ordering a greddy type-s kit and will have an SAFC 2 in a few weeks. Probably buying tires fairly soon... and hardpipes coming as soon as I get my fucking money for the blue car!

Wink

And before you say it ryan... I AM going to rewire my knock sensors . I just can't reach them from the top so I gotta wait until I can get at them from underneath. I really don't feel like having to deal with the manifold - I have to drive this car everyday so I don't wanna have it down for more than a day.

I wouldn't solid mount it - but that's just me I guess. Depends where you are gonna drive it most I guess if you just wanna take it to the track and stuff it might be good for auto-x.

But maybe not fun for driving around town and taking it for trips and such.

I agree, i wouldnt solid mount it, your engine is already solid mounted to your car i think that will be enough vibration as is. Just leave it for now.

Well I'm glad you asked everyone's opinion and took them all into equal consideration, as usual.

Why do you even bother?

Ryan, if i were you i would make it a happy medium. I know you are going to do alot of racing with it, but on the other hand you want it to be somewhat comfortable on the street as well. You already said yourself that you arent going to get it to handle a whole lot better than it already did before and since then you have solid mounted the rear subframe and the engine mounts so why not leave it at that. I think thats overkill as it is. Any more than that and your just making it a really rough car to drive on the road. Leave SOME sort of comfort in it.

dont try to change ryans mind, it will never work :P

i took my car to the trans shop today and worked it out so steve is going to replace the clutches in the trans and see what else is wrong for the price of parts only. shouldnt be much more than $150. so thats good news, if clutches are the only prob

i wont know for sure til tommorow or wednesday

i say fix it and sell it becuase if it messed up when hes running 13-15 psi, if he runs it at 20 for any length of time it will probably die again... might as welll sell it when its worth something...

solid mounts are worth a 10th just another thing to think about, but driving a solid mount car is not much fun from what i've been told just like everyone else has said.
