Well this sucks... i just wrote an email to 935 motorsports in regards to my Cometic MHG to see what the hell is going on. They replied and it now looks like im no further ahead than i was on January 2nd when i ordered the damn thing... They said that cometic is going to remake the gaskets as there was an error in two of them and they withheld the whole shipment. This means if i stick with my order at 935 it will be a bare minimum of another month until the gasket is even in the mail to me. Robert at 935 said all he can recommend is to refund my money and refer me to another company in florida, which i think is Titan Motorsports. This sucks... im not sure what to do from here... at this rate i might just leave it off the road and wait for the gasket to come from 935... i dont want to have to rush it together.

They dont stock a 2mm with the 86mm bore though. So i would have to wait anyways.

Bob, you should email Duane, Allan told me that he had a good supplier for Cometic stuff when I was talking with him about redoing mine a while back. At the very least it may be worthwhile asking!
Probably easiest to get a hold of him through the other forums... I have his email but don't know it offhand.

That totally blows though.

Maybe i will try and do that Reuben, thanks man. And Murray i dont think my block is smooth enough for an HKS. Thanks for Duanes email address too I have just emailed him, i will see what he has to say about it. I can always cancel my order at 935 if he thinks he can help me out sooner.

86mm bore is not the standard bore size. It is a special order gasket. As far as i know, horespower freaks does not stock the 86mm bore gasket for the 7m in a 2mm thickness. I have emailed them to confirm this. I wont know until they respond. If they do have it however, then i might cancel my order with 935 and reorder it at horsepower freaks. Im still waiting to hear back from Duane as well.

I don't even know how hard I would laugh if I had been there, on the sidewalk or something, and just saw someone fall out of their car. Seriously, that is effing hilarious. Good job man lol

try calling AAP, their number is listed on www.aapmotorsports.com . i ordered my IC from them, good service and they will pricematch.

well, I ended up getting a late start today and only got the rear suspension and sway bar on before dinner.
I just got back from checking it out, and man does the swaybar ever make a difference - it's way stiffer. Probably a good 15 lbs heavier too.

I guess I'll tackle the front tomorrow. I jacked the front up just to check all the bolts and they are seized pretty good. Sprayed them up and hoping I can crack them all loose tomorrow

I'm not sure about the downpipe because our welder is out of gas, and the tank is already gone to get refilled. But if I have time I guess I'll get started on the knock sensors as well. Gotta take advantage of all the tools and garage space while I can!

ah, guess what..... no paint yet!
I dunno what's going on dude, I only talked to Cole for like 5 mins yesterday when he got into town cause I was under my car when he showed up.

We are all gonna go out tonight and see all the old faces though so I'll talk to him later on today and let you know what's going on. I think he needed to know the paint code or something - not sure.
But I'm off to play with the front suspension now. I'll let you know as soon as I find out Toby!

ok - the suspension is wesome!!
But I just saw my best friend in the whole world tonight, she just walked into the bar here and I haven't seen her in like 11 years. It was nuts cause nobody recognized anyone but soon as I saw we just ran up to each other,
Kinda weird how after so many years you still remember so much stuff.,,,
but anyhoo - the suspension is awesome, I suggest you guys put your swaybars on! I got a few pictures but I'l kinda loaded so I might try and post them up tomorrow or something.
