I just bought my first ever DSLR, after years of using a P&S camera, which I still use.

ah you sensored it for us, thats cute, you know most of the people on here know how to use photoshop right? ha ha sorry I had to know what cost you that kinda money. Thats pretty damn pricey, the speed you were going over the limit is almost a duplicate of my ticket, but mine was $368?can and yours is $424us

huh? what makes you believe that i think people don't know how to use photoshop? The intent of graying out the rest of the image was not to hide non-pertinant information, but to call out the cost of the fine.
and 424$ USD for going 92mph in a 65zone...fuckers! oh and times 2.
