All I can do is shake my head at all of you thinking the fight was stopped prematurely
The only reason that Fedor was able to roll around and look like he was defending was the fact that Herb Dean stepped in and Hendo stopped punching.
Seriously.
I guess people are upset that "the best ever" (who maybe had a case for top 5 about 6 years ago, but since then is barely top 10 if that) can't beat a past-his-prime 41 year old 185 lber lololol
Gotta love that Dana gives such a small amount of shit about Strikeforce that he takes a vacation the week of the big show and goes to a concert the night of the show

It's not stupid.
Golden Glory tried shady tactics with Zuffa. They tried to use Alistair Overeem's Strikeforce title as blackmail to get the highest possible payday. Including saying Overeem wouldn't be ready until 2012 to fight for Strikeforce, but would be available in 2011 for a lot more money.
They played a shady game. They lost. A fighter who wants a Zuffa career would be smart not to use Golden Glory as their management.
or that valentijn overeem is a fucking bum, einemo is an even bigger no name bum. coenen was a little surprising tho.
and Sergei Kharitonov fights out of GG too i think and hes still under Zuffa
and to the comments guy, maybe he should realize that GG is not just a management group, they are a chain of MMA/kickboxing gyms. one of the most successful in europe too
i still dont think all the info is out on the ubereem thing tho. theres something else going on there

Anyone else with info?
Here's what Meltzer said about it:
Quote:
Zuffa released Marloes Coenen, Jon Olav Einemo and Valentijn Overeem from their Strikeforce and UFC contracts as part of eliminating anymore negotiations with Bas Boon and Golden Glory. There are problems that have dated back for years and basically there are two sides who have different ways of conducting business and in the game of chicken, neither budged. Overeem would have been cut either way, but Coenen is an innocent victim of circumstances. If Sergei Kharitonov loses to Josh Barnett on 9/10, there is a good chance he'll be the next on the list.
