""I’ve known Georges St. Pierre since 2004, he’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, always exactly the same no matter what the situation is, since 2004 i’ve never seen him like he was tonight. Georges St. Pierre flipped out after what happned, Nick Diaz needs motivaition, he’s got it. He's going to fight Geroges St. Pierre. Carlos Condit has agreed to step aside. George said, `He's the most disrespectful human being I’ve ever met and I’m gonig to put the worst beatinh on him you’ve ever seen in the UFC.' We called Carlos Condit, he wants to fight, we're hoping to do this Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas.""
GSP:
"This is what I wanted since the beginning. Let's do what was supposed to be done originally. I've always wanted this fight -- now I want it even more. I can't wait for Superbowl weekend."
Woulda been epic if GSP actually went into the octagon to respond. I guess it can be hard to think of shit on the fly like that, unless you're Brock or Chael
Diaz would probably have done something really stupid, and right before their FOX deal starts. They were smart not to bring GSP in this time. He sold it well enough after so it's all good

I was thinking the samething. Would have been like the whole Miller Diaz thing. Great for hype but would lead to suspensions.
Been a fan of Diaz for years but I see still losing this fight. He's always stuggled against top wrestlers. GSP is not stupid, he'll game plan for the instant take down and Gnp most of the fight. I see him winning like how he beat Penn and Sera...or Via decision.
wow thats going to be a crazy fight hopefully they dont get injured before the fight
i would also have like to see koshchek fight diaz and winner would have faced winner of gsp and condit but i guess that wont happen now
anyone know if anderson and chael are going to be on that card?
If BJ took Diaz down so easily, George should have a problem taking him down at will. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Diaz catch, swarm and finish GSP with his crazy boxing. The volume of punches he throws is so crazy lol.

BJ looked old and tired in there right from the beginning. And got beat by a boxer with more reach. BJ, like every other one of Diaz's opponents have basically no take downs. When BJ got him down, he was too small to keep him there. Once he started getting beat up, he couldn't do anything but try to box back, get beat up, and tire out.
none of that is the case with GSP. GSP is going to take him down 7 or 8 times in 5 rounds. and stay on top. I bet the total amount of time spent striking will be less than 5 minutes in a 25 minute fight.
