Besides, the womens division is so shallow, it is almost guaranteed there will be a rematch down the line. Might as well keep the heat on.
As much as you might see it as "catty" nobody came out of this fight looking worse than Tate. In fact, there was no way she could have come out of this looking good. She must have missed Fight Promotion 101, because she spent the last 2-3 months talking about how Ronda was not in her league, and dismissing her abilities as a fighter. Everyone knows that the LAST thing you do is talk down an opponent's abilities. Because if you lose, you lost to someone who sucks. And if you win, you just beat someone who sucks...
All that, and her meltdown on twitter the night before.. defending her boyfriend (UFC fighter) who said he could beat Ronda in a fight (seriously) and was up until 2-3am the night before her fight arguing with trolls on the internet. Then she refused to tap, and got her elbow destroyed...
So yeah, Ronda may have come off as "catty" but at least she didn't make a complete clown out of herself.

A nasty armbar submission courtesy of new Strikeforce champion Ronda Rousey has landed former title holder Miesha Tate on indefinite suspension from the Ohio Athletic Commission.
As the fight came to a close, Tate’s arm literally bent around backwards while Rousey was trying to force the submission.
Now according to the Ohio Athletic Commission, Tate will be under indefinite suspension until she gets clearance from an orthopedist on her left arm.
weird that they would do this. does this suspend them from training too or just competing?
