Ooooo I wish I got out more:

Since its still winter and this thread is kinda dead... So what's in you golf bag?

Looks like i'll be starting the season with the following items.

driver: TaylorMade Superfast 2010 10.5*
woods: Tour Edge Exotics 5
hybrid: Nickent 3DX 3
hybrid: Nickent 3DX 4
irons: Ben Hogan Apex Pro Forged 5-PW (still have long irons)
wedges: Cleveland CG11 52*, 588 DSG 56*, CG12 60*
putter: Odyssey White Hot #1 Blade
bag: Sun Mountain 3.5 (first gen)
ball: Titleist ProV1 2010 (trying to use up my TaylorMade Pentas, which suck lol)

I have yet to find an iron set to replace my Hogans. The closest things are the Mizunos, but they still don't have that buttery soft feel. But they're pretty damn close

^ Yeah nothing beats the Hogan's in terms of the buttery soft feel. I've played a few TaylorMade and Callaway forged sets but none of them felt better than my old Hogan Bh-5's, which aren't even forged but play sooo soft when struck right.

I can see my Hogans not being too popular with lower handicaps because of the feel (it's soft to the point that you don't really feel the ball at impact anymore). I noticed with the Callaway and Mizuno forged irons I've since tried extensively, it's more of a soft "click" even during optimal impact.

But the Hogans feel like shit when you mishit them, so maybe that soft feel is a reward of sorts LOL

It's fairly realistic. Big course selection, and you out like you normally would. It's all based on swing speed, and alignment. Greens are the same as on Tiger Woods, grids.

But is there a target to hit with the ball? Or are you basically putting the ball on the tee and putting it, letting the computer judge your speed? How does it take into account alignment?

Was on the Golf square website earlier and saw a few replays of people hitting. Doesn't look like that accurate when people are averaging 270+ drives..

Btw - Modern Golf just opened up its Surrey branch
- Modern Golf - Custom golf club-fitting, custom golf club building, Indoor golf simulators

I'm actually surprised I didn't buy anything during the golftown demo sale. I've been meaning to get new Hybrids the past few years.

Twigs this year:

Taylormade R11s 10.5 Driver
Taylormade R9 3 wood
Ping Rapture 18 Degree & 24 Degree
Taylormade Rocketbladez 4-aw i think..? (Got them from globalgolf.com in Sept)
Cleveland 60 degree
Swapping between a Bettinardi/Odyssey 2 ball putter.

Anyone here using any of the Cobra Amp hybrids? Debating on those.

Yeah Dean's a great guy, he's got a lot of "patience" dealing with the new clientele.

I've known Rob and Ken for years. One of the best golf academy's in Canada.

Anyone here ever hit or owned some vintage Honma CL irons? Can't find too many reviews on them.

Never owned a set of Honma's but hit a few over the years. When struck well they feel like forged Mizuno's.. Nothing special about them, except for the price tag.
