sport central

At sport central gym in richmond, what is the weight room like anway?

does it have alot of space and alot of equipment and machines?

Also, how much is if you don't sign a contract and pay monthly?

L0uie69 03-31-2007 06:41 PM

they have quite a bit of machines, as for free weights they have two mini sections, highest weight is 120lbs for DB. They have 3 squat racks, 3 BB flat bench, 2 BB incline press, 1 BB decline, 1 smith, and 1 cable cross machine.

mr85 03-31-2007 09:05 PM

would you say its a ok, nice, very nice, or beautiful gym?

also is it clean and tidy there?

TRDkoo 03-31-2007 11:45 PM

yeah it's a very nice gym. nothing there is ghetto, most of the stuff there is pretty much new. and yeah, it's clean and tidy

i think it's like 50 something bucks a month if you dont' sign a contract

ps. i swear i saw 130lbs DB

you should check on there prices every couple weeks cause they have different pricing every so often. i waited like a month and now i pay like $35/month on zero contract. their drop-in price is $20? per visit i think. but like every other gym they offer guest pass. so get one of those b4 first.

if you see a 98 cavalier in the parking lot and a guy with a creative zen mp3 player hanging from his neck that would be me =)

gabi 04-08-2007 04:43 PM

yea its a great gym
but i did find a used needle there once
other than that i'd say its the best gym in richmond if you can get one of the better rates

They have a 130lb DB, and the only thing I don't like about the gym is the durian smell when you enter the gym part of it, I'm guessing it's the cleaning supplies.

They have a contract now where you pay $399 first year, $299 second year, and $199 third year and then the cycle repeats. So fourth year would be $399 again.

yeah i was looking at that, that's pretty retarded to repeat the cycle..it should get cheaper or stay at a decent rate

sil-300 04-11-2007 01:05 AM

^^ ya i dont get it at all... if u sign up for just one year its cheaper than going on this stupid cycle thing they have...

gabi 04-11-2007 10:29 PM

^wow, thats a big jump up from what i payed before
i payed for one year at 2XXish, came out to just over 20 a month

i always felt that they could charge more but not that much
