Go to Soulphire on Lonsdale..my artist, Bill, has done 2/3 of my tattos and he is the only guy I will go to...

His work is amazing, hes reasonable, and hes a great to talk to while your getting it done...

Its a real relaxed enviroment, and hes very clean..

I go to him and so do a few of my friends, hes great...

I got his # if you want it, just Pm me and I will give it to you

:)

Although I cant give any advice since I live up north, I was just curious what your thinking of getting done? I have two black wings going along my back ....thinking of getting a sun around my belly button or a maple leaf over my heart but I'm not sure yet....that one on my back quite a bit haha

Talk to Hugues at Craftsman - tell him I sent you.
He just finished a piece on my thigh that's just amazing. When I get my digicam I'll post it.

#110 27 W. Pender St - right across the street from Tinseltown

He's done two pieces on me, the mural as mentioned above, and a portrait on my shoulder blade. seriously ill man.

PM me if you want more info and a reference - cuz I'll call him up and tell him you're swinging by and he'll take care of you.

The one in Kits on 10th is the one I am talking about.

Alot of the mentioned places are good. Monkey King, Dutchmen, Funhouse, Sacred Heart, Black Water, the list goes on. First of all although many artists from these shops are good they aren't the best choice when it comes to certain designs. Some are more recommended for azn stuff and so on. What are planning to get?

a noob/outsider question here

just curious how much do tattoos cost? something like 1/2 size of your palm on your arm.

Just a note, I got my first one done at funhouse, the guy took well over 3 hours and charged me $400, and did a shitty job and was a total asshole..
I could have gotten the same tattoo done by my artist when I told him about that guy, done in under an hour and it would have cost me like 160$

Nvasion 10-12-2007 08:31 PM

where would be a good place to get tribal/celtic designs done with just black ink?
ive been looking online and havent found anything id really wanna get put on permanently, so anywhere with a large selection in a book or something would be great.

I would personally recommend Next! on Granville and Nelson, right next to the Rock Shop. Aaron and Joshua (if they still work there, it's been a few years since I worked there) are the men to see there. Absolutely amazing talent from both these gents.

Now I personally had my Uncle (yes he's a professional tat artist =Þ) do my tattoo. It was a memorial done on my right hip, just above the pelvic bone. Was great to have my Uncle do it for me, made it that much more personal.

Just one piece of advice before you get inked. Make sure you're solidly set on this piece before you get it done, nothing is worse than regretting getting inked.

Not if it was a shitty job.

As for Next, like I said I haven't worked there in a few years, when I worked there it was equally as much a tat parlour as a piercing shop.
