Hall Pass 6/10 a few cheap laughs here and there but not that great overall

Watchmen 5/10 production values looked amazing but story was impossible to follow and poorly structured

Horrible Bosses. At first I thought about giving it an 8/10. But Jennifer Aniston and the Ting Tings scene with Charlie Day bump it up to 9. Almost died laughing when it came up.

I think I know what he's getting at. If you haven't read the Harry Potter books, watching the movies is like reading the middle chapters of a book you aren't familiar with. It's really hard to catch up to everything.

sucker punch 7/10 story was weak but the visual / music was pretty decent... some of the chicks were hot
bitiful... script was ok... they lost to In a Better World (last yr's foreign film) and Javier Bardem lost to Colin in kings speech. it wasn't a bad film, had it's message, but it could have been a bit better. 8/10

The Detective 2 B+偵探: Aaron did a decent job in keeping the series alive, the music was composed by a thai guy keeping it original, overall you would feel nothign has chnaged, but the pacing was just gayyyy. There was not story line and it was just weak. i fell asleep 6.5/10

Choy Lee Fut蔡李佛 2/10
biggest mistake ever. script was shit. Samo was NOT even considered in the movie. he had like 3 scenes each less than 2 minutes with NO fighting at all. stupid fighting scenes, much like the karate kid which was epic gay. I did like that one actor who was also a singer.. he did a decent job but that was it. i'll happily pay you to not watch it.

Harry Potter Pt2

No, I didn't line up...I'm not crazy.

Good summer movie. Massive, grand set pieces and the battles are fun to watch. Good (or good enough) performances from everyone. Some of the scenes are spectacular and the way it's shot is amazing.

But the story sucks here. Too much "Oh, this happened because it did." but that's sort of a downfall of the whole series. Do you get the feeling that the battles are just with sparkly balls of light rather than magic? They might as well just have guns. And the explanations are silly and the ending is just deux ex machina...again. It's all very heroic looking but if you think about it, the way it's all handled and especially the Deathly Hallows is just stupid.

I'm not a fan. I never read the books but I did enjoy most of the previous movies. I guess I have more of a problem with the way the books are than the movie itself.

Also, this movie (and the last sorta) are just huge departures from the tone and environment of the previous movies. Maybe it's just because they grew up but there's so little of the fun from the previous movies in this one and everyone walks around with a scowl or a frown...which really isn't how this movie series has been up til now.

^^ thats just the tone of the last book since murder and death are everywhere even @ school and the war is upon them once again everyone is just depressed

as for the story being a TVB-esque final episode (rush rush cut/paste) yeah it was disappointing its like Rowling just wanted to get on with her life and her cash so she just spat out a book
