desolation of smmmaaaaug

8/10

I dont read the book but apparently they added a lot of filler content
I enjoyed the movie but as far as storyline progression goes, this is the middle filling
hate walking out the theatre knowing you have to wait another year

Gravity 8/10
If they didn't add Deus Ex Machina to it, the movie could have been 9.5/10

Oblivion
6/10

Crash (from 2006, rewatched it again)
9.5/10

Cloud Atlas
5.5/10

2 Guns - 8.5/10

Cool action movie. Funny parts, very few shitty scenes. Great watch.

I dunno, I really liked it a lot.
Like, having a Purge is a stupid idea, it's far too costly, but the overall flow of the movie was good, IMO.

I personally rate it 7/10
I liked the tension

Really? The whole idea seemed cool, but without giving away any spoilers, I think not a whole lot happened and when it finally did it was kind of "meh".

Spoiler!

drive - 8/10
caught it on netflix, and thought it was a decent movie. Not favorite list material but it had good acting, plot, and picture.

300 - 9.5/10
this is favourite list material. it was embarrassing to admit I never watched this movie, and with the second movie (rise of an empire) coming out soon, I decided I had to watch 300. I'm really into greek history and thought this was the coolest movie.
side note: if you've ever wanted to see cersei's tits (from g.o.t), you can see em here

Silent Witness (mandarin movie) - 9/10
top ratings with good cast (sun honglei and aaron kwok) so i had to watch it
strongly recommended, even for people that don't understand the language (i watched it with subtitles to help)
It has a complex plot and it plays out the same scene from 3 different perspectives which I found really cool
although it was exceptional in all aspects, plot and directing was probably what made it stand out

I think I have said this before, but I honestly think you and I have literally the opposite taste in movies... Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just find it interesting. So now I know if you love a movie, I'll hate it. And vice versa. And if you are 'meh' on one, I usually am too.

^ We're not getting this movie until fucking Feb in HK...... So I watched

Walter Mitty 5/10

The day dreaming bits just seemed pointless, I know Mitty is supposed to day dream a lot but it just didn't feel right. I also expected to see more of the world he traveled to but he really just went to like 4 places, the trailer made you think he went everywhere and his mission had more of a purpose.

wolf of wall street here too.

8.5/10. Epic movie. Hookers and Blow for all.

Also saw desolation of smaug. I am a huge fan of LOTR and the books, but I went in without having seen the first hobbit movie. Needless to say it was still a good movie. 7/10

Hobbit movies are losing some points from me because I do not believe it was necessary to split the book into 3 movies. 2 was more than enough, or one 3 hour movie could have been done.

8.5/10

A different perspective on civil rights, from slavery to present day. I enjoyed it but can see how many could find it boring.

10/10

If this story is real, and non scripted, truly inspiring. There is so much good in the world, we just have to look for it through all the shit.
