300: rise of an empire. 7/10
Visuals were great and the fight choreography was good. Movie was very short tho and barely accomplished anything.

People saying it is a 9.5/10 are crazy

wolf of the wall street 8.5/10

Gravity 7/10. Good to watch with the family I guess, but at least some more scantily clad Sandra Bullock would have helped a little

The Place Beyond The Pines 7/10 - interesting movie with an interesting timeline. Good acting and characters. Could be deemed "slow" I guess but I enjoyed it. I think people's super shitty opinions of the movie helped me go into it with a very low expectation. I felt satisfied afterwards.

divergent 6.5/10

decent story line, took a long time to get the ball rolling though. very easy foreshadowing though. could almost predict what would happen 20 minutes+ later.

The Raid: Redemption

10/10

I don't remember any movie in my recent history that I've given that grade.
Best action flick I've watched, sets the bar at a high level.

Divergent 6/10
If you liked hunger games then 8.5/10

Divergent is definitely more of a rental. I wanted to watch 300, but the girl didn't want to.. 300 would probably be a let down from the first one, but at least it would be decent in a theatre...

D/led it with subtitles

I don't remember any recent action movie that has been as "pure action" as this.

Great film, and I hope to watch Raid 2 in theatres once it comes to Vancouver

Need For Speed 6.8/10 - I actually really enjoyed it but the plot had holes and acting was kinda meh. But for a car action movie with little to no CGI it was quite good. I enjoyed it more than any F&F movie for the cinematography alone.
