Kinda late on this one, but glad I watched it. Best racing-related movie I've seen so far

Fast n Furious 6 - 3/10

Toretto downshifted in an automatic Charger in the runway scene.... nothing in that movie made sense but that scene did it for me.

Jungle Book - 9/10, mostly because the graphics are pretty fucking unreal.

Pretty incredible how far CGI has come

Jungle Book 8/10 - didn't like the child actor though, something about him was annoying.

Cabin in the Woods

9/10

Nice, well done comedy horror movie. A lot of thought behind it, directed by Joss Whedon

Ip Man 3

7.5/10

Significantly better and 10000% less racist than Ip Man 2
Not as good as Ip Man 1, but still solid action

Was it Punishing to sit through it? If so, then I would imagine the movie delivered in spades.

I did not quite like Ip Man 3. For some reason, it did not have any emotional impact on me. Donnie Yen is OP and that's what really made it boring. I thought the movie was all over the place with no central antagonist. Everyone against IP Man was really half baked and had so little character development. It's not like the first one where you see Ip Man going through rough times with the Japanese invading, or the second Ip Man where he found a new life and fitting in is an entire challenge in itself and dealing with social pressures and racism.

The third one was really just about him getting into these random encounters with random people who happen to be doing bad things so Ip Man just kicks everyone's asses politely.

Spy [2015] - 8/10, definitely worth a watch, McCarthy and Statham were great in it.

pacing, character development, the cheesiness of how his family died and how they tried to kill him, the cheesiness of the antagonists (some weird fuckboi and a Richard Branson look-a-like), the dialogue, the overall trying too hard to be an 80s flick, the sense i get that the entire movie is some sort of joke centered around John Travolta

it felt more of a parody of the punisher than the actual punisher movie itself. If it was marketed as a parody then maybe I would've enjoyed it.

basically, the writing was utter garbage
or maybe because it was rated R and i'm going through the Daredevil series so my expectations were pretty high.

Bunch of oneliners is what Deadpool is all about! Definitely delivered on that. Not very much plot though. It was nice to recognize parts of Vancouver

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 5/10
Ratings on this thread are so biased. If this wasn't branded as Star Wars and was just some regular space movie, most of you will have said it's terrible.

Captain America: Civil War 9.5/10

Might just be the nerd in me, but I loved the movie.
Even though I'm a bigger Iron Man fan, I feel that Captain America movies are made (directed?) better.

CA: Civil War as well. 8.5/10 solid marvel movie, good story, good action. Can't complain....I'll never give a super hero movie a really high score because they are cookie cutter films for mass appeal that lack authenticity. But if you put that aside its a fun ride. The series has definitely gotten better with every iteration, which can't be said for iron man.
