The Witch 3/10 - Acting was on point but it was 16th century New England so wording was annoying to follow. The landscaping, music and camera work were what really shined. I can see why it got such high praise but it fell short for me.

13 Hours (bengazhi movie) - 3/10. It was crap from start to finish.

How to Be Single - 2/10 - tired old trope, crap script and poorly acted (though it was nice to see ders)

Any reason? I liked it a little more than that, maybe 6 or 7 out of 10. Better than Lone Survivor.

There is a terrible trend of war movies lately not humanizing the opposing side (Lone Survivor, American Sniper, 13 Hours), so that's certainly a fault. We get near zero motivations of the Libyan attackers in this movie.

I still thought 13 Hours had fantastic casting choices in nearly all roles, had decent tension, and did hammer home how absolutely ridiculous some things are over there due to bureaucracy.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi: 7/10

Like jlo mein said above, it would have been better had there been some perspective shown from the other side rather than just "attackers"

Nice, I worked on this film but have yet to see it. I did the CG crowd in the stadiums for all the shots. Also worked on Captain America Civil War

Spoiler!

The Witch 9/10

Really enjoyed this film. It's not your typical horror and the old english is a little difficult to understand at first but you soon get the hang of what they're saying. For some reason I felt uncomfortable the entire time watching this film. It's not like "Oh this is going to be a scarey moment" cliche, rather everything just feels creepy all the time....and it just continues down this morbid hole until you're like wtf by the end. Definitely one of the best films I've seen this year, but I could understand why it won't be for everyone. I'll say this, it's one of the few horror films that resonated with me long after it was over. Only two to ever do that were The Shinning and The Exorcist.

Agreed, I didn't even make it 15 minutes into that Western one before looking for something else.

Nice! Another review. I really wanted to like it but it just fell a bit short for me. Definitely bang on with the creepy factor. And the music, WOW, super creepshow. Even though I feel like I disliked it as a whole, I still think about it everyday since I watched it. It's like I "think" I disliked it but I "feel" like it did it's job.

X-men (Saw it in Korea)

6/10, only because it continues on the x-men franchise; not really enjoyable as a movie on it's own.

Also, the CGI
Spoiler!
