There aren't much evo pics in this thread so here's my contribution. These are the APC NS at approx 6 months. Lighting wasn't good... in sunlight they really pop.

I washed them when they turned 6 months. I actually could have held off longer but was too excited.

Raw denim is great stuff. More people should actually do it!

Sit with your legs crossed!

They were worn almost everyday for the last 6 months. Actually its closer to 7 months right now. I won't be wearing the APCs as much anymore. Gotta work on the Somets and those are supposed to be slow faders.

IMO whiskers are the hardest friggin things to do. Unless you constantly keep them in mind and like nickg says "sit with your legs crossed"

Somet should take 2 more months to get to where you are now. Do you know how many ounces your pair weighs?

I only thought about it the first few weeks I was wearing them. After that I didn't really think about it much and time just flew. I also like sitting in class with my legs crossed so that helped. Actually the hardest part are the thigh whiskers not the lap ones. Those never came to me so you'll only see very little and very light ones.

Sweet jacket!! The fit on it is perfect too. I've always wanted a TOJ varsity...

I sized down 3(!!) for my NS and they fit perfect now. No need for a belt even after all this time. APCs shouldn't fit perfect when you get them. They should be hella tight.

Wow crazy the leg opening is that small? Well the PS looks good right now and it'll look better with more wear. Post some pics after a few months.

does anyone know what signs to look for before i wash my raw denim jeans?

ive had my raw nudies for a little bit over a year now, but they still look brand new in terms of colour.. theres no discolouration anywhere and only little signs of wear. I only wear them around twice a week. Should i wash them or wear them more? Do distress and fading only happen after i wash them?

no, distressing and fading dont happen only after you wash them. If you feel they are too dirty, wash them. You've worn them over 100 times and you don't see any fading?

If you're only wearing them 2 times a week and you're not doing anything intense in them, you're basically never going to get fades until after 4 years of wear lol. You have to try and wear em as much as possible and wear them hard for more noticeable results.

Washing your raws is just up to you. Its not rocket science people. If their dirty and grimey, wash them, if they feel fine, then you can keep on wearing them.

The 6 month rule is so vague that i dont think anyone should follow it. I mean if you wore them for 2 months and you ended spilling beer all over it, its time for a soak.

lets say you wore them twice a week, so that's 8 times every month and its been 21 months. that's 168 times, so about 5 and a half months.

that's close to the "6 months" requirement. you should wash em. take before and after pics =D

washing doesnt do anything other than lighten the color.
the lines wont necessarily show more prominently because you wash em.

i dont do a first wash until they already look pretty good. no miraculous changes happen after the wash.

Don't wash them just to see fades! Like unit said it only lightens the color overall. It will look the same but lighter.

And to get any fades at all you must wear them A LOT. Everyday is good. I was so pissed at myself that I spent so much money on Rock & Republic, True Religion and those crap that after I sold them and when I got my APCs I said I'd make this one pair worth it and wore them everyday.
