Just bought my first Selvedge denim! Got some NF WG deep indigo! crazy stiffness in these jeans!

What is the point of cuffing? Besides shortening the hem (prevent draggin), is it also to show the inside seam stitching? I am not sure if i should cuff 1/2" or not.

^Enjoy.
N&F's regular deep indigo are the way to go.
I'm rocking the broken twills right now, wish I got another pair of deep indigos instead.

I have indigo selvedge's too. They take quite a while to fade but after 4.5 months the fades are starting to come for me. It's a really nice (imo) electric blue.

And for cuffing, some people do it just to show off the selvedge. I cuffed 1" and let the rest stack

does starching your denim help with fading?
and where can you get a can of it?

Starching will help keep your denim stiffer so it may be possible to get sharper creases.

It's a little contested but I believe starching wrecks the cotton. From what I understand it can cause the cotton fibers to become dry and brittle, resulting in the individual threads breaking. So you may not necessary get more fades, but more fabric wear.

It also clogs the fabric if you put too much on. Reducing the breath-ability and possibly increasing bacteria and ordour build up if you tend to sweat a lot.

Starching once isn't going to kill your jeans, but I would avoid doing it often.

Easy-On Starch... I use it for my work shirts. Get at any supermarket.

NAKED & FAMOUS DENIM Weird Guy in Indigo Selvedge at Revolve Clothing - Free Shipping!

Find out your real waist size and use this size chart. They will also probably stretch 0.5-1" after a couple of wears.

I just bought the same pair from Plenty. I usually wear 33, but I bought 32. I think a 31 would fit, but it would be really tight. From what i've been reading, there is usually stretching, and people buy a few sizes down, so small that they cannot button the top button.

FYI the pair from Plenty doesn't have the contrasting strip across the coin pocket, and the cost of the jeans were $126 for the indigo selvedge.

Go for Levis 501 STF. These were my first pair of raw denim, wore them for about 6 months with 1 soak. My clothes were a bit baggier a few years ago :P

Can never go wrong with Levi's.

Just picked up some Nudies organic raws. Excited to start on these. The material feels very different from the non-organics. This will be interesting
