What to do in Vancouver?

Ever fall into that dreaded lull of:
"So what do you wanna do today?"
"I dunno, what do you wanna do?"
"I dunno, what can we do?"
"blah blah blah"

In the end just going for a coffee then go home since no one came up with anything interesting?

More often then not I'm stuck without a clue as to what to do for the day and/or night with my gf and/or friends. So are things to do in Vancouver?

I'm not interested in those tourist spots like Science World, Stanley Park, etc as I been living in Van all my life so that stuff is boring.

We do all the regular things I suppose:

We always go out to eat or eat at home; trying different restaurants and cuisines every week
We watch a lot of movies, usually rent or buy movies too;
Also shopping, driving around for a while, went down to the states a few times already
In the summer we played tennis, now we sometimes go swimming.

Seems like it's so boring nowadays. What do you do to kill time over the weekend? (or even during the week?)

Any ideas? Maybe we can pool them here so we can look back to find things to do when we're absolutely bored out of minds and have nothing to do.
Looking for something 'normal' that can be done even every 1-3 weeks. Not stuff like "Go do the Sun Run"

I play with my JB

That and I go for coffee (even if it's not coffee), everyday, it kills alot of time.

- Shoot some pool
- Arcade it up (if that's your thing, with the drums/racing)
- Go Cruising (gas is exp)
- Walk around, and "window shop"
- Rent movies/watch movies
- Did aquarium with the family
- Work on car
- Find an MMO to play
- Work out
- Smoke (if you do, just sit there in your backyard on a sunny day)

Usually if you wake up around 12-1pm on weekends like I do, it doesn't take much to kill time till night. Which is when I'm out at parties, or ebisu

I hate winter, sun goes down the second I leave work. That kills 90% of my plans. This might be your problem right now

Can't wait for summer again, so many more things to do!

What you can also do it be a tourist in Vancouver. Buy a Vancouver tourist magazine and visit all the spots. Rent a a two person bike, zoo, shop, hike. Someone suggested buying the entertainment book, I might even do that.

You think Calgary or Toronto is better? A lot of us take Vancouver for granted and don't know how good we have it. That's why a lot of tourists love it here so much.

see if there any good shows in town
opera? musicals?
and there are always comedy clubs, improv shows, concerts (even at the casinos if you're really bored)

or they're really lazy, i used to think vancouvers got nothing to do.

then i went outside during the day, and there was plenty to do... haha

we got lakes, mountains(hiking, sking, camping), theres always hastings and main to go around and mess with the junkies, soo many restaurants to try.

it's nice at night just to chill, but daytime is for actually doing things fun.
