It's a good motor, I want the carb so I can run a bit faster while working on the EFI set-up. $800 for a motor with that kind of milage is a steal, I'd go for it if it wasn't for the fact that mine drives fine. That and for like $180 in seals you can get it ported, oh plus porting time. Something tells me just a fresh 12A will open your eyes a bit though.

i have 12 a it has 180 k on it but it will have to come with car thou eheh when i am done with

i going to try to keep it stock ish btu side pipes are going on thsi car caus ei liek side pipes hehehe



all so doe sany one have any oil lines form 2nd gen rx7 ca sie need some i have secoun gen oil cooler but i need the lines so i cna hook it up cause right nwo i don/t have one on my car heheh

But yeah.. might wanna get on finding an Oil Cooler.. something about a rotary running without one kinda scares me.

I think i'm just going to drop it in as is and then attempt to rebuild the blowen 12a to try and "learn" or see what it's like in there for fun. If i do, i will then port that motor. Untill then, it's just stock 12a with the carb and full exhaust. I just hope the guy will bring it out though

does any one know what that pipe going to the cat is i think it is just for emmiso and such corret me if i am wroung i have 12a

it come soff the motor to rubber pipe then to hard line that conects to the cat

caus ei just added in sidxe pipe exhaust on thysi baby

its the airpump line cut that shit off and remove the air pump and make a block off plate.

never siad i did nto bleav you cause that is what i though it was just by p[ass hose but why remove the pump doesnt it open the ports up

and i am on slow computer so looking up stuff is pain on thsi pos

and if i cap it off ant that bad i f i keep the pump on right now i just got ot venting to open air i had feeling it was for emion that it is just push air into the cat caxuien it to eat more emmions and stuff

solution:
remove air-pump
pinch off split air pipe (if you haven't already ditched the cat-back)

Problem solved. end of question.

Anyone want to buy a header for a 12a? Brand new. Only been out of box twice. was 269.99 + taxes = $330.xx from SHC, i'd sell for $260


Need to sell my car. Ad's in the for sale section. If anyone can find a buy, i'll hook them up with some $$

ummm i hate to say this but if he is drivena frist gen rx7 and can't aford the swap or the motor thing caus ei it feel though what akes you thik he cna afford a 3rdgen

Standalone EFI is on hold.............................it's weber time instead
That said I WILL eventually mod this manifold for EFI and run standalone, it's just not in the cards this winter

Due to price of weber and possible source for cheap EFI stuff, I may just pull out the stops and go that route. I'm seriously considering both now. I'm just gonna wait and see when my manifold arrives whether I can use it as a base for EFI or not.
