It's got a Chevy V8 in it, that's the secret.
I actually had a dream last night that I really owned an FC, then when I woke up I seriously thought that I still had it, then I realized that I didn't and I was sooo sad. True story.

"the AC has been taken out , no power steering, from the alternater, there is only one belt running..."
You mean that quote? That's not that bad, he's only running the alternater. Rotaries do not need additional belts like timing belts or chains because they are not a valve type engine, there are no cams, no valvesprings, hell, there's no valvetrain at all. The water pump is driven internally like most cars so that does not need a belt as it is shaft driven. I can't think of anyhting else right now, but, he has cooling and power supply running, he doesn't need much more, only for creature comforts (power steering, AC, etc etc)

RX7s have belt driven water pumps? WTF I thought that they were mechanically driven like most motors. Oh well, at least I was right about the valvetrain part

The two pullies on the right you can ignore, the one on the very bottom is the "crank" or e-shaft if you will , the middle one with the little belt going over it is the water-pump, and the one on the very top is the altenator. Most people use dual altenator pulleys and two altenator belts, the "yoohoo" belt seemed a bit loose on my car so I flipped it upside down (probably not the best for belt life but it's only $4.15 or something) and it's good now. |

I really had my heart set on that T2. Damn. I don't really want to buy an NA, but i suppose that it could still be cool. Plus, I could pick up an NA for way cheaper than a T2, or a broken T2 at that.

Just get an NA and do a turbo engine swap, better yet buy a convertible and do the turbo swap,,that would be sweet. And make sure if you do its a manual not like rich's T2 convert. Oh well its his girlfriends car to drive and i suppose he does have an FD sitting in the garage beside it.

RP | Those swaps are pricey and just cheaper to buy the car.Especially doing a vert to T2 swap. Those verts are to heavy to move with the T2 engine.Every rotorhead knows that. |

Otherwise I should be ordering a clutch here soon just a OEM one tho. Still got to do this swap one day. When I get this project done and put away some $$$. Yum! I want to get the A-pillar pod for this project still and put some Autometer guages too. |
