H&M in Coquitlam Centre has some nice Euro-style cuttings for their shirts...cheap too.

Sorry, but you're going to have to pay to play. The only thing I can tell you is that when you put on a nice(r) shirt compared to one from the Gap or what have you, you'll never go back.

You want quality, but can't afford it.. make up your mind, or get a better job!

My favourite place for shirts is Banana Republic.

Exactly. The reason why I suggested H&M is because you quoted Mexx and Le Chateau.

Le Chateau or mexx is actually pretty decent price. U want to get better quality ones coz they dont' require ironing that often.

Best mass-produced dress shirts are the non-iron dress shirts from Brooks Brothers.

You can get 3 for $199 on-line. Trust me on this one. You can wear them all day and they still look great. If you're in good shape, go for the slim-fits.

My other favorite dress shirt maker is Charvet, but they are $$$.

there aint no G2000 here in canada.

Marco911: hes trying to buy shirts for work, we know your baller, but i dont think the guy wants to spend 200 dollars on 3 shirts.

if you want something under 50 bucks taxed.. slim fit,, check out zara. summer time is approching, and zara's dress shirts are very light , but quality is good (i had mine for almost half a year now, many washes, and still looks great).. i think they are like 39 dollars taxed.

My post wasn't necessarily directed to the OP but the community at large.

3 shirts for $200 ain't bad at all. In my opinion, if you're going to wear a dress shirt, wear something decent!

You mean you are telling the community at large what your favourite brand of shirt is, and it's very expensive? Say it ain't so!

3 for $200 is not bad at all especially if they are of decent quality! That's probably the cheapest item I've seen Marco recommend.

^^Thank you. I know other people that wear $400 dress shirts that think these 3/$200 Brooks Brothers dress shirts are still the best. You also get to pick out your sleeve length, which also makes it a better fitting shirt. Most mass-producers only give you an option of collar width, because including another variable increases inventory tremendously.

Closest store is in Seattle. If you don't want to spring for 3, just buy one online. I'd start with a staple like a white shirt, non-button down collar, button cuff.

The shirt has an amazing ability to always look freshly pressed, and the fabric does not feel
cheap/synthetic.

The cut of the shirt is fantastic. If you don't wear it with a tie, the top button is just the right height to expose enough of your neck/upper chest, which is just plain sexy. Some shirts have buttons that are too high, or too low, which is unappealing for those with chest hair. There are a lot of neat style details on this shirt that is well done. Buttons are mother-of-pearl. I have quite a number of $300-$400 dress shirts in my wardrobe(Charvet, Jil Sander, Dolce&Gabanna, Armani, Zegna, YSL) and I have to say that these BB shirts have a cut/style that is right up there with the traditional Italian houses, and will look way better than the more expensive shirts by the end of the work day.

If you travel a lot for work, these are also the best shirts to take because they are always wrinkle-free.

NY Mag also named them best dress shirts:

Banana Republic is ridiculous for what you get, unless its half off. You might as well shop at Hugo Boss when it is on sale. Its pretty similarly priced.

3/199 is an exceptionally good price. That's like $66 per shirt, which isn't much more than a regular price Zara dress shirt, which are typically $50+. You probably won't understand unless you have worn a higher quality dress shirt for an entire day. The quality between my G2000 and Burberry shirt is like night and day. (I won't even begin to tell you how much easier it is to iron.)

A Zara shirt would be ok if its for clubbing. But if you are starting to work on a daily basis and required to wear a dress shirt, I think 3/199 is a more than a worthwhile investment. Just make sure to get something fitted and classic so it won't go out of style. People can tell the difference between a good quality shirt, so it makes a big difference.

3/199 or 66/shirt is an awesome deal considering a banana dress shirt is more than that. There's apparently a Brook's at the Seattle Premium Outlets, I'll have to pay them a visit to pick up some shirts for daily wear.

$66 for a nice clean professional image - and 3 of them too - is worth it. If you work somewhere that requires a decent dress code, play by it and buy something nice
