The Flying Tiger

4/10 - The food was only average and they used too much oil in everything we ordered. Not worth the $60 for 2 people, service was pretty good though.

Sushi Garden (the one in BBY North)
5/10 poor quality sashimi, avocado rolls were falling apart upon arrival, tempura batter was stale. Will not go to again.

Lucy's Eastside Diner

Had Classic Burger with Bacon and fries - 7 dollars + 2 for the bacon add on

Burger tasted great - fresh ingredients and the fries were good as well.

Rate it a 8/10.

Lebanese food is great there's a nice little joint in Surrey called Almanara Shawarma (King George/ 104th). Real authentic homemade stuff; worth checking out.

Doesn't really count, but I bought a few samosas from Clancy's Gourmet Meats today.
8/10 good stuff, very filling and handmade. Big, but a tad pricey.

It gets pretty dark in there once night time rolls around.

However, the fish dishes were awesome. But like you said, for what you pay, the portions are rather small.

Yeah it was pretty dark in there.
Tough to even see what you were eating.

They were pretty dead for a Friday night. We were there for almost 2 hours and only a handful of people came in.

Bavaria in Whistler. Used to be so good but this time, we sat down for 45 minutes and nothing happened, except they poured our wine.

Will not go back ever. The restaurant wasn't even half full tonight.

Their Hainanese oily rice and chicken & curry are like comfort food for me.

Section 3 - 7/10 for lunch.

Nice day on the patio. I liked their sun-dried tomato pizza, but everything else was meh. Service wasn't the best. But worthy of another visit.

Deer Garden / Lok yuen @ Richmond beside lansdown
8/10

The food is pretty good i ordered a tam tam noodle and just ate that thing up in minutes lol the quantity is there too but its abit pricey like 9 or 10 bucks for a bowl of noodle all together. But the service could be better.......we waited 20min for our Chicken wings and it still hasnt arrived and we called them several times too...

Went there like 2 weeks ago and had their party tray with some rolls substituted. Everything tasted the same, like Japanese mayonaise. It was pretty disgusting.

5/10 sounds right.

Malay Curry House
8.5/10
Laksa was awesome - great broth
Hainanese Chicken Rice - meat was silky smooth but a bit expensive for whole chicken
Curry Lamb/Chicken - did not taste but when you walk into the restaurant you smell curry so its gotta be good LOL
This place gives you a free drink of the day and apparently they change the drink everyday! Today was kumquat and lemonade.

Boathouse (Richmond)
8/10 decent food, thought the view would have been a little better though.
Overall a pretty good experience, though it didn't have the ambiance I'd expect most seafood restaurants to have.

Big bowl noodle on kingsway and across from bigrams yoga near boundary. Used to be a bbt place but now a noodle soup place. The spicy beef noodle Soup was pretty good. I would go again. I give it at 8.5/10.

Volcano Sushi
6.5/10

Decent nigiri. They have wild salmon and real crabmeat. Sushi rice is inconsistent (some parts undercooked, too much vinegar). Rolls are on the bigger end, not Samurai big but big enough to be multiple mouthfuls. They have "specialty" rolls. Chicken karaage comparable to the chicken nuggets at bubble tea joints. Just another sushi place.

Miu Garden on Main.
8/10.

Had the Curry Boneless Chicken with rice during reg price (($10.50) after 6pm) and special price with a free drink or soup (($8.95) 11am - 6pm).

Tasted pretty good not really spicy, a more creamy flavored curry. Chicken were really smooth and juicy, not dry at all.

Only difference between the two is the special one's portions were noticeably smaller.
Nonetheless, i would definitely go again.
