Deer Garden hands down, cattle cafe (went 5 times?) was a hit or miss so i prefer Deer Garden mostly since they are in the same plaza anyways

^ Went to Deer Garden the other day for the 1st time. It was really good!

Charcoal Sushi and BBQ Restaurant in Richmond.

This small place has become one of our favorite restaurants since moving to Richmond in January. I love the Golden Roll (deep fried cali roll)!

Food: 9/10
Atmosphere: 8/10 (lil loud with the fans going) but the decor is nice
Service: 10/10 (always attentive, friendly and great water/tea service!)

Cazbo Persian Cuisine in north van i beleive 15th?....food was great, server however was a retard, she took are order gave us the drinks and went and stood behind the counter for the hole time we had to walk over and ask for a refill + ask for more salad + pay for bill. The dishes are fairly well priced a normal " khobideh kabob" ( which is 1 large skewer of minced ground beef mixed with onions and a roasted tomato on a bed of rice with saffron garnish) is about $8.50. I always get the 1 skewer of khobideh and 1 skewer of joojeh( chicken in saffron and lemon sauce) and its about 10 bucks. 9/10

Kadoya on Denmen. Food was gross. The rice used in the nigiri sushi was really odd, warm and overcooked. Reminded me of congee.

Rolls were huge- so if you are the budget sushi eater and prefer creative rolls, you may actually like this joint. I prefer sashimi.

Moderne Burger

Moderne Steak Burger with mushrooms
it must have been the juice from the patty and/or the mushrooms but the bun ended up being really soggy even before i took my first bite - 6/10

Orange Creamsicle Shake
no complaints here - 10/10

Ebisu in Richmond

1/10

thought id give it a chance...boy was it ever a mistake

first we ordered drinks...

drinks
asahi came...and so did the cups...and one of them was still dirty...she still tried to pour beer in there.
i ordered a ceasar....after all our dishes came out, my drink still wasnt there so we asked about it and the waitress said..."oh...sorry...nobody knows how to make it" .....yea...

food
ordered the oysters....it was ok...cept one of them made my bf gag
chikawa cheese....average...
yakiudon...way too watery...and flavorless
hamachi inferno....haha okay this one just made me laugh....so the waitress gave this to us and left..so i was thinking...umm arent u suppose to torch it in front of us..we all looked at the hamachi inferno and the hamachi looked raw to its finest ...so after a couple of minutes, we finally got her attention so we asked her and she said...oh it is already...did u want me to do it again? we all realized the hamachi was so thin...that if she torched it again, we'd be eating nothing but burnt fish...and to hide the fact that it was thin...they added a piece of mango under the hamachi....

anyways, all i have to say was it was a terrible experience and a warning to all not to waste ur money here

Circa Lounge

3/10

Food was decent but service was HORRIBLE. Took 10 min to get the water and after looking at the menu took another 15 min to get the waitress over. Food took forever and by the time it came it was warm.

Old Spaghetti Factory in Richmond (by Silvercity theatre)

Its my first time going to this restaurant too.
Ordered the veal parmigiana. It tasted like crap. It was over-cooked, dry and tasted like an old hamburger patty from a fast food joint thats been covered with pasta sauce and cheese.

In terms of service, they were quite slow with the entrees coming out as they had a big party of ppl to attend to so the kitchen was back-logged. The waitress and manager both were very apologetic so that was ok.

But seriously, for $14-16 for a meal like that crap, totally not worth it

Overall..I give it 4/10.

what size was the pizza? If it were an extra large, then it's about right considering it was boston pizza, not fresh slice.

but dam.. you have to pay the extra tax on a $30 pizza... steeeppp
