Kanpeki Teppanyaki

Just opened in Richmond on Alexandra road. There will be a grand opening this Saturday. Free drinks or so I heard.

Went there last sat. Interior is very nice.

had la chef's special - $25
salad, soup, one seafood item, one meat item, rice, stir-fried veggies, and dessert.

the food was tasty too but not enough to fill a regular/big appetite. very small portions. *shrugs. pricey but very nice people and it's cool to watch them cook.

Taste of Punjab across Best Buy in Surrey Central

8/10

Food was great, although the samosas left something to be desired, the Seekh Kebab, and Tandoori chicken were pretty good, especially the Seekh kebab (coming from a Filipino point of view)

The Butter chicken was awesome with their naan (sp?) 10/10...

The place was empty though (granted it was 7:00pm on a Monday) so the atmosphere left something to be desired.

Damn that filled me up really good... more full than a night at Posh... Will come back again.

Bellagio Cafe next to Hotel Vancouver - 9.5/10
good price, good food, and the last time i went...my waiter looked like Jay from Queer Eye minus the gay factor though. HOT.

Phoenix Seafood Restaurant? on corner of Broadway and Nanaimo - 6/10
Besides the soup and their tea fried shrimp...the quality in their food has gone waay down

ALSO in richmond. 2/10

shittiest dinner ive had in a long time. i will NEVER go back.
WAY over priced for what it is.
paid tooo much for something that isnt even special. and its not like the portions are big either.

waitress didnt even know how to pour from a pitcher! spilt a good quarter glass on sangria on to the carpet in front of the table. then she moved to behind the pillar to continue pouring!

ridiculously over priced.

seriously, i would not recommend ANYONE to try Also.

you can easily get the same food at Cactus Club for example, which in my opinion tastes way better than the way they make it at Also.
its way over priced for chinese made westernized food.

i give it 2/10 for the decoration. 1 for the dining room, and the other for the washroom.
service was just annoying. stupid waitress kept coming over to ask if we were ok, and when i asked her a question, she didnt know the answer to. this happened 3 times when she had to ask someone else in the back somewhere.

Horrible.

wealthier people coming over from asia countries should not open restaurants without doing enough market research and research in general before considering themselves a higher dining.

some of the prices on the menu was just ridiculous. for the price, i could have dined at Maccaroni Grill.

Well Tea - richmond

was there yesterday night with 15 people. we went i there at about 11pm, and didn't have to wait long for seating. it was still pretty packed, since it was a friday night. i had the tappenyaki beef w/ rice. for 8.95 it was pretty good, filling and original. it didn't come with a drink, like some "cha-sang-tang" places, but it was good because it didnt taste like simple beef teriyaki. plating was nice too.

service was good too, they didnt stress after seating 15 people down

8/10

After my shitty experience at McDonalds a couple weeks ago with the Shogun burger, I decided to go back for a "3 Leung Burger" also known as a Double Quarter Pounder.

McDonalds in Hong Kong only serves this burger at their 24 hour locations (which are plentiful) but only after 9pm! It's fucking retarded that if we want to eat a disgusting 1000 calorie burger, that is has to be so late at night. They seem to be marketing it to the after-clubbing crowd. Oh well, I guess it will help keep the cravings down

Anyway, it was just as good as the double quarter pounders I used to pig out on when I was 210 lbs. Fatty, greasy, and beefy with nothing to take away from the flavour other than cheese and some ketchup. Perfect! I could barely finish it though... My appetite isn't what it used to be, especially after 9pm!

10/10 The Perfect McDonalds Burger

Prima Taste on Robson - right next to the H Mart on seymour.

great place - 9/10 for me. went there for my friend's going away dinner. had the malaysian roti, and skewers to start. then shared some hainanese chicken, lamb curry, and eggplant to share between 4 of us on the table. paid $28 a person including the service charge, and i was extremely full.

interestingly enough, it wasn't very packed in the restaurant. maybe only half-full. maybe word of it just hasn't reached many people. i thoroughly enjoyed myself, service was pretty good as well. if you like going to tropika - this place is 10x better.

On a rainy day, you should get the hot almond with pearls. I'd travel great lengths to drink that stuff. I also like how they present it; in a little tea kettle with a little cute tea cup thing.

Delightful!
