Miku FTW!

Amazing Aburi and pressed sushi. Its something different than your run of the mill nigiri.

Their desserts are pretty good too!

BT Cafe (Hong Kong Style Cafe) Near Kingsway and Fraser

Ordered:
1. Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice. Absolutely love eating this dish, but wish it had more salted fish. Decent wok flavour - had better at Angel Cafe
2. Red Chicken Thai Curry. They do this really well. Great lemon grass, coconut curry and spices based curry. They include a fried chicken steak instead of dumping in chicken into the curry. Wish they serve the fried chicken steak on the side cause it gets mushy by the time you eat it.
3. Iced Lemon Tea. Decent but had better

Food: 4/5. Very good will return for a quick fix of HK style
Ambience: 3/5. Newly renovated its decent place but small. Not somewhere you take a date to.
Value: 5/5. Can't beat their prices. They also have a $6 all day price (3 items + drink) WOW!

$31 and it came with mash + vegetables and my friend ordered the salmon wellington and we just split it, was pretty full by the end of it.

Yea, I had their dailu special and surprised with the size. Totally didn't finish because I had too much bread and lobster bisque. Nice little place for sure.

Wait. What?

So you had the lobster dinner and chowed down of what I'm assuming a portion of the salmon wellington as well? If so, you are a monster. And a champ at the same time.

Well done.

octopus garden

got the deal which you have to pay for a certain amount of price and they feed you till you are full.

3 ppl, 2 ppl got 60 value and one got 100$ value

bill came out with 3x60 instead of 2x60 and 100. Got free lobster and hot grilled plate of meat

The uni shooter was really good and was the best dish. Head chef which is the owner i think gave us fagwa (spelling)? on rice for free after

parking was a PITA to find.

8/10

Charm Thai in Yaletown 5/10

The food wasn't horrible by any means but definitely nothing special. Didn't taste real authentic even though the chefs were thai (i think) or at the very least they were azn, definitely not oriental though. To me these are one of those places that are meant more for white people b/c they don't know any better when it comes to azn food, it's in Yaletown, and semi fancy looking. An azn who is used to the real authentic flavors won't be impressed here. On top of that service sucked even though the place is super small they were no where to be seen most of the time. Would not recommend.

It also happens to be the asian area of Denver too if you're looking for asian food. (which I probably wouldn't suggest since you'll be sorely disappointed)

Actually, if you're into bison (buffalo) burgers, Teds which is across the road has probably the best bison burgers I've ever tasted. I always head over there every time I'm in Denver.

If you're there for a couple of days and want some suggestions, let me know. I lived there for 5 years and know the area pretty well.
Shoot wish I had seen this earlier, but have been so busy with work, I didn't come on till now and I fly back to Vancouver tomorrow.

I've been eating my breakfasts at Cooks Fresh Market on the 16th street promenade, they make a great Smoked Salmon bagel sandwich with cream cheese, lettuce, tomato and capers. Their Green Chile and Egg White burrito was also really good. Sort of has a Whole Foods deli type feel to the place. Overall 8.5/10

Went to Maggiano's for dinner tonight. I know its not authentic Italian food but it was still good for what I was expecting. Had the Lobster Ravioli and their wine list was quite nice. The service was great for such a busy night. 7.5/10

Denver also has a ton of street food, not as much as Portland, but it is more established than Vancouver's recent humble beginnings.

Tried what8ver cafe today

Their special is the honey toast which is actually quite unique $7.99, you won't find it on the menu though

Server cut it open for us and it looks like this

Drinks here are reasonably priced ($3.50 + 0.50 for pearls etc.) cheaper than pearl castle etc. Service was good although the place is quite small fits maybe 25 ppl.

Definitely like this place more than pearl castle just because it's quieter and prices are better, parking isn't bad it's in union which is the k-fever richmond sushi mall.
