The Texaco pumps are closed for "construction". There's a big hole in the ground next to where the pumps used to be. Maybe they're replacing the tank.

Have to pay 2 cents more per liter at Chevron for the next little while.

I'm wondering if you need to pay Canadian tax when you're picking up used car parts?
Anyone know specific CBSA tax rules for Used goods?

I'm pretty sure you have to pay tax on just about anything you bring over, new or used.

On another note does anyone know if you have to pay tax/duties on an item that was originally manufactured in Canada?

Of course, just like you have to pay for tax for that item if it was purchased locally here.

There's no proof of that, it was assumed p2p was the culprit

when you purchase goods (whether they're new or used) you have to declare it so bring your paypal receipt or credit receipt. If you bought it off craigslist or a forum then bring a printed copy of the ad and email correspondence. If you don't, they could be dicks about it. go through your phone/laptop etc.

I bought a pair of hockey pants off a forum a couple of years back and I went down there with my Paypal receipt. Lady at Canadian customs kept asking me for a store receipt and I said I didn't have one because I bought it from an individual.

She kept saying my Paypal receipt was not enough and I needed to show her my PMs with the seller. I said no problem, give me access to a computer (this was before everybody had smartphones) and she said she couldn't let me use theirs. Long story short, she went around and did shit all for half an hour, came back and told me to go on my way... but bring a print out of my PMs next time. Yeah right, I've crossed 15-20 times since and they've never asked me for PMs.

I've had my card swiped twice and both times were after I had used the CAN AM gas station in PR. I wasn't sure at first, but I knew it after I got my replacement card, went down to fill up gas, and got a shitload of $140+ worth of gas charges on my card.

Was it signed for by the ppl at TLC? Used to be mr. Lomedico, not sure who it would be nowadays, then here's what you do...

Get in your car, drive to point Roberts, and pick up your package

U didn't get an email, shit happens,

I'm not sure who signed it, USPS just mentions that it was shipped priority there.
I just don't want to drive there, find they have misplaced the package and have to drive back but I guess I have to do that if i can't get a hold of them

edit: Finally got it sorted out after a few more emails

let's say i trade wheels with someone
can i still get dutied even though no additional money other than shipping was involved?

also, are there any fees associated with bringing 4 wheels over to seattle to sell?

What kind of shipping services (not receiving) does the Shell station offer?

Can I print up a label on USPS.com and drop a box off there to ship? Since shipping internationally from Canada is so expensive.

you can just print the label and drop it off at the USPS station down the road. always needs an american return address. they will ask lots of questions now (any lithium batteries? is it the correct weight etc).

Point 2 point just accepts prepaid USPS parcels right? They don't print out labels for you?

Can't you just print out the labels yourself at home, just prepay it first?

I know you want weekend dropoff, but if you can swing it, the USPS flat rate boxes/envelopes are really cheap for what they are and packages arrive really fast too if that matters. But you can only get those from the post office.

depending on how well you know the people, some of these places let you drop off prepaid packages. Almost all of these shipping places use UPS so they technically get paid by UPS to receive each package and I have not heard anyone get rejected but this was years ago.
