Observatory - has anyone been VERY recently?

How was the service, food, ambiance, etc if you've been very recently?

Need to book restaurant for anni with the gf.

Thinking either Observatory or Beach House.

Already done West and Connor Butler for previous occassions so I don't know if I can find a restaurant to top those food wise but I thought I'd go with a killer view this year with I guess decent/good food.

Beach House is more of a casual atmosphere... sort of like a Keg/Milestones feel to it but a bit higher class.

Observatory would be better. Nice View of vancouver, and you can go for a romantic walk around QE.

How was the food? I'm not looking for anything spectacular but I don't want to leave extremely disappointed either.

Blue Water Cafe in yaletown is one of the best in my opinion in terms of food. The food at the observatory isn't very good, The view is great however.

Observatory isnt that bad. U pay for the view and the ride up. Just dun expect it to blow u away and it'll be all good.

Observatory has a great view.. don't know what the food was like since Anthony Sedlak left as head chef. He's crazy talented, even though no one liked that guy.
