Anyone taking MMA?

I'm wondering if anyone is taking MMAand if so, where do you take it and how much does it cost and what time?

Drk 09-21-2008 03:47 PM

Dynamic MMA on 42nd and Cambie. I pay about 130 a month.

There are a bunch of other places that teach MMA/Kickboxing/BJJ

- Francos
- Revolution
- Universal
- Richmond MMA

Just do some research. Your bound to find a gym near you.

Richmond MMA, my coach used to train me there. He's not bad, class size is around 8+ people and he really pushes you. Good area to train in. (big space)
Dynamic MMA is really small on Cambie and 42nd. Trained there for 2 weeks and it wasn't my thing of not having to move around when theres like 24 buff guys blocking your way. The energy is defeinitely there, and both have good teachers as well.

beatdownvictim trains at Dynamic MMA. Grandmaster and I will be doing their free 1 week trial next week and go from there but BDV keeps praising it so it looks like a place we would stay at.

Gh0stRider 09-29-2008 03:21 PM

Berzerker 09-30-2008 02:00 PM

Depends on the length of the contract.

Dynamic was ~$100/month if you sign a 1 year contract.

Derek_N84 07-22-2009 09:30 PM

R8 07-22-2009 09:35 PM

Anywhere near Coquitlam/Lougheed Area? And does Dynamic still have free trials?

Quickshifter 07-23-2009 03:49 PM

Maybe try learning different martial arts separately?

I find that being more focused...but you'll probably spend more time by doing that separately...

For anyone that trains mma, do you guys actually fight someone or just do it for training?
