Nintensity, if you truly still have those feelings for her, I think you should move on for the time being. If she doesn't want to be more than just friends, and you have already tried being more than that, you are just hurting yourself (making yourself seem more desperate) and forcing this issue will not make it any better since it is clearly that you two are not at the same level anymore.
Give it sometime, and try to limit your contact with her. In a few months, if you still have those feelings for her, meet up with her and try to discover where she is at. She might have already moved on, or she finally realizes that she misses you and that you are very important part of your life.

But he's right. I am a girl, I just find head games (from either side) to be ridiculously annoying and a waste of time. I wouldn't want someone to play games with me, so why should I play games with other people? I have no issue in telling someone I find them attractive or that I want to date them. So I'm not sure why other girls do.

Tell her to fuck off. She's just using you as a safety net because she knows that no matter how shitty she feels, she can come to you and feel good because you'll shower her with the attention she thinks she deserves.
It's tough but you gotta know when its a lost cause. Follow what Grandmaster said because I'm going through something similar and I've had enough of it. Sometimes you just need a good dose of reality to slap you in the face before you realize it.

we're not going to go out tonight. I text messaged her at around 5am this morning before work and asked if she's still down for our thing this evening. No reply. I've just given up on her. Not going to talk to her and if she asks if she wants to hang.. i'll just bitch up and say that i'm too busy nowadays.
aghh its painful but its the only chance for me to move on i guess.

I know this game too. Her replies take time because you're not really high on her priority list. Trust me, if a girl likes you, she responds ASAP.
