Are you a funky sock person?

I know Brokentelephone is, but anyone else wear socks with funky loud colors, stripes or designs?

I'm pretty conservative with my hosiery but looking to possibly break out.

Orange Adam Bomb socks ftw.

Socks are always overlooked. Its fun to match them up to your tie, shirt, or any other little detail.

It is boring to wear navy, black etc..

bcrdukes 01-16-2009 03:46 PM

I have a few pairs by Paul Smith and Duchamp but that's about it.

Marco911 01-16-2009 06:06 PM

That looks cool. But I don't think I can pull that shit off at work.

There is something very Asian and/or middle aged to me about that. But I guess it really depends on the person. Okay maybe it's the shade of the shoes in accordance to the pants. I think we need a full head to toe picture to fully understand the possible glory of it all.

black or white sport ankle socks.

black or grey, or beige dress socks...

thats it in my sock drawer...

iam_dan 01-17-2009 08:37 AM

yeah i have some pretty f'd up socks.
i have regular white ones...regular black ones..both in dress/ankle
the regular sweat socks for winter seasons.

then i have a whack load of different striped socks.
blue-white, beige-white, red-white, green-white, purple-white, pink-white, and..whatever other combination i cant recall right now.

i have this one pair of novelty socks which ill probably never wear. lol. its pink and has individual toes with like a different color on each toe. hahahaha

they were dirt cheap in taiwan, and i was running out of socks!! bought them for fun.

looking back on it, it probably isn't the best picture. it's kind of dark and i took it via the webcam of my macbook. the shoes are a cognac colour, the pants are more of a charcoal with a light windowpane. the socks really don't pop out as much as the pic makes it out to be.

i wear socks w/ rainbow stripes, i've got socks with yellow rubber duckies on a solid blue background, green striped, pink striped, purple striped, purple argyle, solid red and your regular black/white socks... normally my pants are too long for ppl to see my socks though. but i like funky socks.

Is it me or those socks look either very thick or too big?

Charcoal with the socks and shoes would look so much better. Pants look either dark navy blue. I still say you need to post a full bottom picture. :D

It's the shitty camera on my BB Bold under low light/flash conditions. The jeans are indeed dark navy, and the socks are cotton so they are thin. The socks are std. sized, so they can't be too big!

macatacz 01-19-2009 12:48 AM

Nice socks everyone but I prefer the socks that have a slot for each individual toe :p

dave123 01-25-2009 04:18 PM

hell ya
i love paul smith socks !!

micbain 01-25-2009 07:31 PM

seems like a really passive aggressive way to break out lol....yellow socks...what a rebel!:haha:

86er 01-26-2009 12:12 AM

Cool looking funky socks are relatively expensive in vancouver. They'll be a lot cheaper in asia.

Jassanova 01-26-2009 05:42 AM

Unique socks are a great way to liven up a suit.

^Haha that reminds me - I still have a pair of rainbow coloured striped Winnie the Pooh socks I got as a present like 10 years ago.
