CSI:Vegas Grissom's Last Episode (CBS)

Anyone watching? What do you think of Lawrence Fishburn as a replacement. I like him ever since Boys in the Hood. I think he will play a good role for this series.

They should just discontinue it when the main character is gone.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

No it wont be the same but they are building a good background for Fishburn's character. The only way people would keep watching is if they think Fishburns character is on the same playing field as Grissom. They are doing a good job of letting him take the reigns and show his "smarts".

Grissom was a good character, but he isn't what makes the series good. I'm fine with the move, if he wants to try something else.

Sara, Warrick + Grissom.

3 of the original 6 are gone now so it will definitely be a different show. I'm not going to write it off for now but it won't be the same for sure. Last season's finale + this season's premiere is still 2 of the most emotional episodes I've watched.

Warrick's video interview, where he talked about Grissom. Very emotional

+1

I can't believe I passed on this to see only 1 Canuck goal in the end. And a weak and fluky one at that too.

Definitely should've watched this show instead in retrospect.

Once I saw the Canucks down 4 goals there was no way in hell I was missing CSI for them lol.

I wonder how much Fishburn is making on the series. I think it would have to be alot to get away from the Big Screen.

i never liked Fishburne, but i am open minded to the change...and thus far i have enjoyed watching Dr. Langston as part of the team.

Although Fishburne replaced Peterson as part of the cast, its good that Langston didn't replace Grissom in the roles of the show....that would have been unrealistic and stupid.

I think his background is slowly developing showing indications that he probably had parents that were abusive...maybe.

And its good to see change in the careers of the characters after all these years,....promotion of Willows, change of job to Sanders, retiring of Sidle and Grissom.....and it seems that its foreshadowing that Nick Stokes might get a promotion.

If theres no change....its like watching cartoon where nobody gets older.

No, but he was what made this particular series unique. The other two CSIs are more like run-of-the-mill cop shows, where the lead guy is like a beat cop who CSIs on the side - how often do you see H or Mac actually in the lab vs. running around waving their guns and giving the bad guys their speeches?

The original CSI crew were a bunch of science geeks led by the Uber Science Geek, and that's what really made it fresh in the realm of cop shows. At least with this change, they're keeping with the Uber Science Geek idea, which IMHO is a good thing, as it maintains what made the show special in the first place.

Grissom's departure was really well-done, I thought - at least they didn't kill him off, and they gave him a happy ending. I haven't watched this week's yet, but I've got it recorded. I'm looking forward to it, as I've quite enjoyed Langston so far.

Fishburne had never watched an episode of CSI before he was cast to be in it.

But yeah, definitely a different feel to the show now...
