Yes, nothing shows restraint in a post apocalyptic economy like a $400 white shirt:)

RacePace 01-18-2009 06:04 PM

noone else can agree with that article but you Marco, so are Borelli's the best?

-Hey the only way we can get out of this mess is to keep spending!

- I don't have any Borellis but I have to agree that Charvet makes a damn fine shirt.

lol - sorta like a dog chasing its tail?

I have no problem with white shirts, in fact, I really like white shirts as they look very crisp and formal. It's too bad they fell out of favor for most men due to that whole crappy Regis Philbin craze of monochromatic shirts/ties.

I just think its kind of funny that they are trying to hide behind white shirts as if that is going to change any of the current mentality on wall street and in corporate america. White shirt = good, wholesome, god fearing business man and striped shirt = evil, baby eating, investment banker? Nonesense.

Nice fitting white dress shirts are a bitch to find. The best white dress shirts I've ever owned and still own are the Dolce & Gabbana slim fit and the martini cut, Dior Homme 24k logo shirt and Dsquared 'stronger' shirt.

Marco911 01-18-2009 11:54 PM

I have a number of Dolce & Gabanna slim fit shirts. Just noticed that some have gone "missing" from my wardrobe, so I'll have to track them down, lol.

Haven't owned a Dior Homme shirt, but I know they are very nice. Dior Homme is made for model-slim folk though, and i have more of a swimmer's build (V-shape) so it might not be the best fit for me.

Hmm...we'd have the same body shape then, I should try a D&G slim fit

hal0g0dv2 01-19-2009 08:31 AM

the ones obama wears are pretty nice

RacePace 01-19-2009 09:40 AM

Yup, Dior Homme wouldn't look good on a v shaped upper body.

Slim but muscular would look great, but straight bodybuilder deff not for the dior homme shirts

i have found band of outsiders good for the price...

Marco911 01-19-2009 04:37 PM

^^Is your Brooks Brothers a slim fit?

Harvey Specter 01-19-2009 08:06 PM

OT: Isn't there a Brooks Brother store opening across from Italian Kitchen?

Still, they will need tailoring if your mid section is thin and you have a big upper body. I don't like to leave part of the shirt hanging out from the pants though.

I have been wearing the Boss dress shirts (Decently priced as well) for awhile now and they're pretty decent. I can't fit dior, Versace or DG. Arms are really small as well as across the chest and I find that the Boss dress shirts have a higher arm hole which is better for me.

What else is similar to Boss Black label and under $200

I will take that as a no. Americans are fat, and their shirts reflect this. If you didn't get a "slim-fit" you can't blame them if there is extra material around the waist. Brooks Brothers slim fit shirts fit me well and is one of the only shirts with both neck and arm length available as variables.

RacePace 01-20-2009 06:05 PM

I did, but I guess it's true that most Americans would be fatter than me, so I had to get them tailored. I also find BB's very long, and I'm 6'0
