where to dl music for DJing? i was told about beatport but it's not free, where else can i dl? not limewire etc cuz i heard the quality is not good enough for DJing (DJs usually use 320kbps at least) |
what kind of music? you trying to download for free? |
well any kind (house, trance, progressive, etc) and yes for free |
If you're trying to become a DJ, you won't want the free stuff. Most of it is under 320kbps. Just suck it up and buy the tracks off beatport, they normally have the extended versions which are better for mixing in sets anyhow. You're going to get a lot of rips off CD's or sets that have been mixed by other DJs already. Beatport is very inexpensive, couple bucks for a few songs is a good deal imo. I recently purchased 2 or 3 Mandy Reid songs, plus 2 J.O.C songs for about $8. |
beatport costs only $1.49 - $2.49 per track and you get them at high quality. i remember the days when i used to pay over $20 per vinyl/record at boom town for that ONE track that i want. there was no beatport, no audiojelly, NOTHING. it costed a fortune to keep the hobby going. consider yourself lucky to have started in the digital age of dj'ing. now go support the small label artists and don't rip them off by downloading. |
There's Beatport.com and Stompy.com |
