Good trench coat suggestions?

I need a good trench. Something I can wear to work over a suit. I like these from Burberry:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2991368/...bo=6004479&P=1

but I'm not digging the $1k price. Any suggestions for something similar either in Vancouver or through online shopping?

Thanks

Check out Aquascutum. They are sort of a cheaper Burberry, and similarly famous for their coats.

Anything available locally?

I checked their online store and the "kingsgate" model works out to $1,300 CAD before shipping

What's your price range? Are you looking for mid-level brands or higher?

No idea!!!! Perhaps go to Boboli and see if there is anything on sale -- or that place on Hastings (whose name eludes me)!

price range of $500. I don't really care about brand at all, just as long as it looks good and will last a couple of seasons.

Thanks...I guess I'll have to go back to PC and rumage through the remains of Harry, Holts and Zenga. Everything in Van is so over priced and the selection usually sucks balls.

I can get 30% staff discount at nordstrom but with currency converstion, it still works out to about a grand...*clench teeth*

Quick question but how does size of trenches work? If I wear a 42 suit, then would I get a 42 trench or a 44 trench to make room for the suit?

Go for a Burberry prorsum trench if you're looking for a slim fit cut.

Why would you pay money and wear non-breathable plastic over your body?

There are 2 types of shoppers
1) Like me, you would invest in a classic style with superb quality and use it for years to come.
2) My sister, buy cheap things, change it up every season, even if it's just a different shade.

If you're 2) then places like H&M, Guess, Mexx, Banana Republic, Club Monaco should have what you're looking for.
