What everyone else said, a necklace or a bracelet BUT i wouldn't engrave anything on it....too early in the relationship for that imo. don't just hand it to her either, make a moment out of it, kiss her from behind or something, give her a moment she can remember

if you don't want to blow a wad on flowers, just buy one red rose and handwrite a note to go with it - and spent the rest on her gift. One flower is classy anyways

Get some rose petals, vanilla candles, and velvet scarf/rope too, you KNOW something is gonna happen after dinner on v-day

Have fun
Hehe the name is a decoy =)

if going out for cheesecake, the only place i've had them were at Cheesecake Etc.
They never fail to please my taste buds!

as for fondue.. i only know of one place, but i haven't been there for a while
it's that place that has all-you-can-eat fondue on Robson St right by Hapa.
It's not really romantic per se b/c it's bright in there, but fondue's good

^ LOL

"you can haaa whatevaaa u likeeeee~"

EDIT: On a more serious note. I wouldn't blow over $80 on the present/flowers if you've only been going out for 3 months. And i try not to get jewelery until probably 6 months into the relationship. You're only setting a precedent for yourself and you're gona have to keep topping yourself as you go along. I agree with what ENDLESS was saying, don't blow too much on the gifts and dinner but try to make the night special by the mood / what you guys do instead of what you get her.

as for present id say a bracelet is a good idea and maybe a teddy bear.

as for dinner, i say dine out is a good idea.. la terraza is a nice restaurant... foods pretty good.

make a card.

use all the letters in HAPPY VALENTINE'S and for each letter you can describe somehting fantastic about her or something. hand make something's always better =)

Dinner wise......take her somewhere with a nice setting, but not necessarily expensive

Lookout points? Burnaby mountain, near hastings and willingdon. There's a really nice one up there. or Cyprus, but I don't know how if it'll be foggy.

^ I'd rather just receive 2 slices, 1 for each of us at home... That way, I won't feel bad about ordering something bigger than him, and end up feeling like Ms. Piggy after :P

Personally, a lot of the girls I know like hand-made stuff as opposed to J
jewelry or expensive things.

So just take them out on a nice dinner, nothing too fancy, do something that she likes, take a lot of pictures and cuddle up and watch a movie at home.

^ Most girls are fine with that. But it of course, it's not everyone's piece of cake.
