switchbacks

searched came up with nothing

was thinking about installing some led switchback
for those of you who don't know what switchbacks are is when on running lights it'll be a cool white and when the turn signal is on it'll blink amber

as far as i know all i need is amber reflector and amber for turning so would this be legal?

TIA

Sorry, they are NOT legal, because they do not function the same as your existing lights.

AFAIK, there are currently no LED replacements for incandescent bulbs that are legal.

I think there are now some LED lights that have identical SAE markings to the equivalent incandescant lights, but not the ones in question here.

I don't understand why people don't understand that modifying your existing lights in any way will likely make them illegal! Is it that difficult to understand?

They understand...they just don't like the answer they get...so they keep asking till they get somebody who agrees with them. It isn't that difficult to understand. Just keep reading Revscene if you don't believe me.

haha thanks

i had a hunch that it'll be illegal but just wanted to be sure
because they sort of work the same
