I think their Richmond campus is located inside the Richmond Automall. Useful things that can be gained from that course includes dealership systems knowledge.

I've worked with a few people who have taken the Collision Estimating course.
If nothing else, it provides a firm grasp on the industry and common practices and terminology used.

im wanting to take the vehichle estimating course and the auto detailer..

i know i can take it at bcit but then bcit isnt untill september and its full time, while the automotive training center is only part time. the thing is that chances of getting a job after bcit is higher then at the training center right?

i am in the fixed operations specialist (service advisor, parts, and collision estimator) class right now and i like it. the richmond campus is more of a sit in class and learn and surrey is for hands on like tech or body repair. i just started the course in jan. so i dont know much about it. but i was told if u dont find a job u can go back to your teacher and they will help u find something

the teacher is VERY nice. the teacher said this service advisor class is a bit bigger than usual (there is around 20 students). the last day for my service advisor class is tomorrow. so ill start my parts class on mon. out of the 20 students i think 5 of them are leavin cuz they already took the other 2 classes already. so when you come in on april ther might be less than 20 students. cuz arpil will be the start of the collision class and a lot of students now have already compleated the collision class. and ya i do recommend this class. its a good course

i know for a fact that their "collision repair & refinishing" courses are NOT ICBC RECOGNIZED. lots of guys have made the mistake of taking these courses & then having to go to a proper qualified school such as: VCC or BCIT

^Although BCIT only has a introduction course which takes 2 years? VCC only takes 8 months and you get credited as a first year apprentice.
There are only 2 schools in BC that have an apprenticeship program for collision repair:
VCC and a school in kelowna. (Not sure if refinishing/paint is same, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is)

Also I must add, I know 2 guys that took that collision repair & refinishing course in surry.
I must say, they know jack shit about the trade.

i think they are talking about the hands on part of the collision that is not "RECOGNIZED" not the collision estimator
