| how often do you tell your gf to give you some personal space?
for me, I go to work mon to fri and we live far apart...so I prefer a break (as
in 1 weekend) once a month, so there will be time for me to chill out with
friends and cousins alone. What's your arrangement/agreement with your gf/bf?
stick together all the time without others? go out together with friends all the
time? or she never leaves your kitchen (joke)? does she get mad and keep
"checking" you while you are out with others?

he never said he wanted space away from me. it's pretty easy going because i hang out with him and his friends sometimes or he'll see me and then see his friends after i leave. the amount of time he spends with me is likely the same amount of time he spends with his friends. and same with me and my friends. we're both cool with the situation.
i don't check up on him when he is with his friends. sometimes i'll call and he'll say he's with his friends and i'll just be "okay, i wont bother you" or call me when you get home.

we havent been together overly long but we only get to see each other on weekends as we're too busy with school during the week, our unspoken thing is that we see each other at least once on the weekends, with the occasional weekend apart but we never do two of those in a row. when I'm out with my friends I tell her my general plans and I talk to her the next day, same with her, it's quite nice as we trust each other enough to not worry.

i have work/school on weekdays and same with my bf. he usually wants to see me on the weekends and i do too so we settle at that. we often chill with his friends or my friends so we get time with our friends anyways. whenever he wants to hang out with his friends alone, i have no problem with it and i don't need to interrogate him cus i know he ain't gonna do anything fucked up

gf and i live together, we never have this issue, we do our own thing for a few hours a day and spend time with each other the other times and on weekends we hang out with the same group of friends but I'm usually chilling with the boys playing video games while the girls go for walks and talk about shit. Works perfectly.

gf and i live together too. Pretty much spend all of my free time with her after Ice Hockey, and Law & Order. She doesn't mind the compromise

We never/ rarely ever tell eachother we need space. He gets his space while at work, I get mine while at work. He goes skiing alone, I go for coffee alone. Other than that we're together.

My girlfriend and I have some unwritten rule. If we get tired of one another, we just go make plans with our friends and let them know that you're going out. Things like this doesn't need to be said unless you got yourself a clingy one. If all else fails you just impale her with your penis and then she'll shut up.

Pretty much every Saturday is a friends day for us where we can go hang out with our friends. Every other day of the week is usually our time, or our time including our friends.

Well I've been with my guy for 5 years and we are friends with the same group. I have some girls I go out with for girls nite, and he goes out with some of the guys. We have made sure that we spend some away time from each other. Since we've lived together for 3 1/2 years it can be too easy to do everything together. We also drive into work together as we work 2 mins away from each other.
I think for any long term relationship an effort has to be made to make sure you each have a part of a life away from each other that way you have news to tell the other person

being in a good relationship should have no breaks just simply say u need to go out w/ frds and they should understand and just go w/out reason or doubt or anything...otherwise i think u guys are not in a too good relationship IMO..
