Breaking: Another deadly shooting in Surrey. Mid-20's man shot and killed this morning near 9500 block of 125th street.

via CKNW

Quote:
SURREY (NEWS1130) - A man in his mid-20s has been found dead of gunshot wounds on 125 St. near 95 A Ave. in Surrey. Police were responding to shot fired in the neighbourhood Tuesday morning.

The body was found in front of a home. Neighbours report hearing gunshots between 7 and 8 a.m.

It's the latest in a string of fatalities due to gunfire. Bradley McPherson was killed at a Christmas Eve house party. Alok Gupta was killed while working in a Surrey convenience store Christmas Day. A woman was shot in the chest at a home on King George Boulevard also on Christmas Day, but she is expected to survive.

And a 38-year-old man was shot in a drive way in Langley on Boxing Day.

Police don't beleive this latest shooting had anything to do with the Boxing Day shooting, but both involved the victims being found in front of suburban homes.

One man hurt in Surrey shooting
It happened around 11 O'clock Tuesday night

Andrew Hopkins Jan 04, 2012 02:50:36 AM

SURREY (NEWS1130) - A late night shooting has sent one man to hospital in Surrey. Reports of shots fired were called into police just after 11 O'clock Tuesday, along 53rd Avenue, not far from Colebrook Elementary.

RCMP Inspector Dan Splinter says the victim suffered very serious injuries.

"It appears the result of some sort of altercation; perhaps a debt being owed. A male was shot and he has been taken to the hospital via helicopter."

Splinter says the scene has been locked down, and plain clothes officers, along with a police dog are in the area. He says they have a suspect, but no one has been arrested.

if anyones watched Escape from NY or LA they should do the same with Surrey (seal it off and turn it into a city prison)

another guy was shot last night in surrey too he was hit in the leg and isn't being cooperative

Surrey’s Latest Shooting Victim Uncooperative: RCMP | Vancouver Sun

Quote:
A man shot in the leg as he was being driven around Surrey last night is not being cooperative with investigators, says Cpl. Drew Grainger, of Surrey RCMP.

In a telephone interview, Grainger confirmed information tweeted earlier this morning by Scan BC that a shooting victim had been located in the 3700-block of 184th just after 11 p.m. last night.

The man is expected to make a full recovery. The wound was a “through and through.” And the victim, a 35-year-old from Surrey, is not being particularly helpful, Grainger said.

It was the second shooting in two nights in Surrey...
