Yup, the cops around here are doing a bang up job and making this city safer by going after people with bright headlamps and cars that are too low. Great job guys.

i read on ctv news, it says the woman was a "victim" in the crossfire, so she might just be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

anyhow, rip to her

If she is indeed the victim then God damn it, the inevitable has finally happened.

Someone on this board MUST know whats really happening!
Common sense would indicate that those who are in the know will most likely stay tight lipped about this stuff..

As much as we all love to bag on the cops, I honestly think it's unfair to think they're doing nothing about all this. It's not like they're going to broadcast the status of their investigations. Seriously, the gangs aren't spouting about who's going to get clipped next, so why should we expect the cops to talk about who they're watching/ tailing/ cuffing to chairs and beating with phone books etc.? Sure it would be nice to see some arrests, but the cops are tied down by laws that protect the rights and freedoms of the innocent. Unfortunately those same laws can slow down investigations as the cops wait for hard evidence to back up the circumstantial evidence which they surely have by the bucket load.

Although others may not like the sound reasoning you've brought to this thread, I for one appreciate what you said.

Do you stop, think, and post? Or do you just let it run like an impulsive child?

I'll be sure to post in this thread if i hear gunshots. My bedroom window is aprox 400 yards away from the building where the oldest Bacon brother is apparently living.

We need to do what Montreal has been doing for years, have a huge gang unit that goes out and does massive series of raids which disrupt the gangs.

Edit:

Never knew they had another massive raid a few days ago...

Actually, I'm sick and tired with our AG Wally Oppal. Every time the media asks him about any shooting his response usually includes "this city is safe, nothing to worry about".

^ I think is needs to get better answers too

He ether needs step up or he will be asked out, On the bad side of that hes the only one that cares some what.

To sum it up we are limited to what we can do with red tape, I say we should put in place what LA does with gangs or NY did with them and their is no reason why they cant apply those laws to attack this problem..
