Potential is through the roof. He has the skills and range to be as good as dirk nowitzki, however he lacks the toughness and determination to be a good defender, rebounder, or post player. If he can get those, he can be as good as Dirk. Unfortunately, that's a lot easier said than done for that pussy.

^ totally agree with you, imo he strokes it better than dirk. He's got a nice pull up and he's gotten good at pump faking and drawing contact; gets the call most of the time. And ya his rebounding sucks, he's a 7 footer that grabs like 5 or less boards a game... Needs to get smarter as well, takes horrible fucking shots. I really hope bayless starts to come through in toronto, for a fairly high draft pick with high expectations he hasn't gotten anywhere close to his potential.

Barg can no longer be compared to Dirk. Dirk is.......top 10. Barg is a good stats guy on a bad team........so is Bayless.

He's compared to Dirk because of how good he can POTENTIALLY be; not because of how good he IS. If he was able to gain some IQ and toughness, he could potentially be as good as Dirk. Unfortunately, it is probably very unlikely that that will ever happen, but that doesn't mean that that the potential is not there.

I have never really liked Dirk, he looks like a douchebag.

Other than that, he's a decent player.

You can use the potential argument if this was like his......2nd or 3rd year and he's shown you signs. Its year 5 now, other than gaining a lil bulk couple years back, he's the same player as he was coming in. The potential you're talking about? It's realized.

I have to admit, we often get sucked-in with a player's potential, and set up "if" situations. I used to be like "IF Amare played some d, he would be great". But u know what, he dun play D, he dun really know how, and this is probably the best incarnation of Amare as a dman. It is what it is. Same for Barg.

haha, I loled bigtime... But hey if you've seen him lately he just cut his hair very short again so he looks to be about 67% less douchebaggy now, you think you can give him another chance now? Hahaha,

and WTF at OJ Mayo coming off the bench, he was holding the NBA record for most consecutive games started too, fckin fail big time

new orleans hornets r owned by the nba now....

why cant a franchise come back to vancouver
it wasnt because we cannot support the franchise it was because of management who wanted to relocate

Anyone buying tickets to the all-star game in LA?

It's the closest that a NBA all-star game will get!

New York Knicks are doing quite well. Reeled off 5 in a row now, Amare is tearing it up. I wish I had him in my pool.

I thought Amares stats would suffer by up to 10 ppg but that was before I found out Felton was on the Knicks, he's a great point guard and I'm glad he's out of shithole Charlotte. DAntoni is a offensive stat friendly guy and that's why an offensive PG and a guy like Amare can flourish. I dig Wilson Chandlers game a lot too, Galinarri is way fckin overhyped only reason they were talking about him last season cuz he hit some 3's, now that teams adjusted to him this season he ain't doin shit.

speakin of Charlotte Larry Brown is the PG killer, he's just killing DJ Augustine this year that kid has got some mad fckin game if you seen his rookie year you know what I mean, I hate what Larry Brown does to players only guy that told him to fck off was Iverson

does anyone else feel that the lakers are the most frustrating team to watch. even as they're winning championships, they're not playing 100% to their potential.

Yes, and Kobe did not show up at all for the whole game. The only highlight from the Lakers was a Odom dunk put back in the 3rd quarter... But I was outside in the fan shop.

I still like shaq+kobe+fisher+horry more. Gasol+Odom+Artest are not reliable most of the time.
