what do you look for in a t-shirt? just doing a little research, i wanna know what each of you guys look for when buying a t shirt. guys are just as critical about fashion as women these days, and we do give a damn what clothes we buy these days. it says a lot about our character. so what do you look for? list these in order of importance: 1)brand name 2)price 3)cut 4)fabric 5)overall design 6)concept of the label 7)message the shirt conveys 8)popularity(trend) add any of your own if there are any aspects i'm missin thanks guys |
1)overall design 2)fabric 3)cut 2)price 6)concept of the label 7)message the shirt conveys 8)popularity(trend) 1)brand name Because t-shirts are something that you likely to wear under something else, the design is most important versus brand name. I'm sure everybody can agree that they will decide if they like a t-shirt or not within a second or two of seeing it. And for me, cut is also important, it's gotta be comfortable and flatter my body a bit. No matter what kind of design is on it, it's going to look retarded if the fit is way off, we've all seen guys with t-shirts that fit like that. But just a simple white or black v-neck shirt that hugs the body can look incredible (if on the right person). |
Overall Design is number 1 for me as well. I would buy something that catches my eyes or my gf will buy it for me cuz she knows I like it haha. but ya, getting my attention as I browse around helps. |
1) Overall Design 2) Cut 3) Brand |
originality price (its a freaking tshirt not a pair of jeans) style (NEVER ROCKIN NOR BUYIN VNECK T's) |
do any of you guys like MADE IN CHARACTER? it's a local brand |
1)overall design 2)price 3)cut 4)fabric |
For some reason i never really take quality into account i guess im fickle and brand and design are of more importance to me! |
1)cut 2)overall design 3)fabric 4)brand name 5)price 6)concept of the label 7)message the shirt conveys 8)popularity(trend) |
proper fit should always be number one, then colour, then if you really need to have a design, have one, but solid colored shirts with no designs are the best |
1) Overall Design 2) Brand Name 3) Price 4) Cut 5) Fabric 6) Concept of the Label 7) Message the Shirt Conveys 8) Popularity Basically, the first four can be mixed around. The rest, I really don't care about. |
Fit is probably the most important with me... Then design... I'm not really a brand whore at all as long as it compliments my body thats all that matters. You gotta have your guilty pleasure's though sometimes and spend some dough on a "popular" brand. Berz out. |

boring. the shirts i've seen in person are just logo tees with neon pink letters. i haven't seen any shirts with designs. my buddy dances for groovy gs and he gets all these free shirts from them. meh. |
1) Design 2) Brand 3) Fabric 4) Price 5) Popularity |
1. cut - it has to fit right first and foremost 2.fabric - feeling soft is a bonus, or a certain degree of thin/thickness 3. design - I tend to stay away from anything cluttered and flashy cause im a plain guy, simple is best 4. price - generally cheap (20$) t shirts dont feel good or fit well |
1) fit and cut 2) brand - what it represents and concept 3) price - i just can't justify paying more for a tshirt than some of my jeans 4) design - i stay away from overloaded tattoos or studs and that stuff. i like to keep it clean |
Fit plainness price brand |
Like it when you CAN'T tell the brand and lots of bold design on the shoulders and under the arms (non semetrical) |
5)overall design 3)cut 2)price 4)fabric 7)message the shirt conveys 6)concept of the label 8)popularity(trend) 1)brand name |
The fit is the most important. You dont want some t-shirt that makes you like sloppy. But that's just me. I tend to only wear fitted clothes, no baggy shit for me. Design would be 2nd for me. |
it's a T-shirt, really who cares. I've never put more than $20 on a T. The only importance is fit; a well-fitted T-shirt should make you look good and healthy, even if you have just an average build. Really slim guys on the other hand should probably avoid t-shirts altogether... Branded Ts are just a way to make huge profits off of the youthful and impressionable... very little design effort, quality of fabric etc so you're just paying to advertise for others. Spend the dough on a nicer jacket instead. |
i'm surprised noone has really mentioned durability and ability to put in the washer/dryer and maintain it's design/fitting I personally am too lazy to handwash and hangdry my clothes... esp. tshirts... if i buy one, it has to be able to be machine washed and put in the dryer I would be more inclined to buy a particular brand if i knew that they are durable shirts, and would not shrink... case in point, bought a $100 t-shirt from Japan once, wore it once, washed it and dried it... now it's a baby shirt... would never spend that on a similar tshirt again just because i know it's going to be messed up something to think about |
