Ok, so one of my buddies thought it would funny to sign me up for this internet money making thing.. Totally a scam.
Now I'm getting called every day saying I need to give them my credit card information to cover the $3.88 shipping charge since their company is not responsible for having the product delivered, just making it and supplying it..
If I don't answer the phone, I will be called back a few hours later.
Now, the next time they call, if I pick up and make it clear to them that I don't want another call, is there anything I can do legally, if say, they do call back?

This is seriously starting to get annoying!

Ask them for their address instead, and say you will deliver the money personally. Can also tell them you don't have a credit card, or that it was stolen.

Sign your "buddy" up for their harassment and see how HE likes it!

Then beat the shit out of him for being a tool.

Oh, i tried the whole no credit card thing. They gave me a whooooole bunch of ways I could pay for it.. I just kind of stopped listening and continued to play COD4 hah.

That would be a prime idea if some one would fess up... but it's a big joke on me every one is getting a kick of :P.
I just want to say "stop calling" and take down a bunch of information so I could like sue them for $$$$$$$$$$$ if they call again. Taking their "make money for virtually no work!!" to a whole new level :P

Cant block numbers on a cell phone unless you have orders from the police that it's ok

Just start screaming into the phone whenever they call, and I mean like really screaming. Like hysterical scared shitless screams.

in all seriousness though, they have called 4 times since I posted this thread.

8 times since 2pm this afternoon....

Seriously, just scream. They will hang up.

But some one else will just call back. Your solutions are only a band aid, temporary help. I need final solution lol

I would think that they would eventually just take your name off of the list.
And how much time do you have on your cell phone? You could just have fun with it, put it on speaker phone, and just talk about useless stuff to the caller. Being super nice will make them pretty angry. But don't respond to their questions, ask how family is doing, talk about Obama, how much you like perogies.

I have unlimited incoming calls...
If no one can give me the advice i want, i think ill just start answering the phone and letting it sit there till they hang up

my past solutions for telemarketers:

-talk dirty to them
-sound very interested and put them on hold until they get fed up and hang up
-jibberish
-pretend you dont speak english
-tell them its the wrong number, and the persons new number is ___ (local police station is always fun)
-order chinese food from them

go google some celebrity soundboards and let arnold schwarzeneggar handle it for you haha

im pretty sure what they're doing is illegal. it wouldn't hurt going down to your local cop shop and see what they can do. if not even just get them to block it with the phone company.

I like the way you think. I've had so much fun with telemarketers over the years... The last one I got really into was the "you've won a free vacation", as soon as I heard that I was like "ALL RIGHT!!! WOOOOOO HOOOO!", i clicked 1 to talk to a person, and before she finished saying hello I went into the "OMG I WON A VACATION, THAT IS AMAZING!!!!! I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE" and then she hung up. I was sort of angry because I really wanted to work that one to its fullest.

I believe you can tell them to take your number off their call list. If not, then take down their number if you don't already have it. Threaten to report them in for harassment if they call you about it again.

or as ive done in the past, say you'll get whoever they are calling for. Then go grab another phone and call say....ali baba pizza and put the phones together so that the telemarketer will hear "hello alibabas pizza."

dude.. I know you do that. We put your phone up to radios all the time and see how long they will stay on the line for :P.
I have jst started answering the phone and just putting it down on a table and watching for when they hang up haha
