Openroad Audi

So I went to Openroad Audi today to go car shopping with my boss. He doesn't know much about cars, and he trusts my judgment on what to recommend as a company car.

The "sales experience" was terrible. The testdrive lasted less than 10 minutes. The salesperson made me sit in the back seat. The salesperson didn't seem to want to move on the pricing.

Neither myself, or my boss were impressed. The same thing happened to my other boss 6 months ago. We both like the 2009 A4, but we were so turned off by the salespeople, that we decided to go to BMW. We went to BMW and he signed for the 328i xdrive lease this afternoon.

What's with Openroad Audi? Any other experiences? Do I have the wrong sales guy? The pricing wasn't even close.

So that's the Openroad Audi difference.... "Why buy an Audi when you can buy an Openroad Audi" "Experience the Openroad Difference!!!"

If your boss liked the A4 so much, he should have tried the other dealership in richmond? Either way, I would have opted for the 328 too, but you know there are some 335's that can be had for 800/month, i'm assuming you are leasing the vehicle for business? 800 is the allowed limit for lease vehicles per month for business.

I think when an middle aged white guy and a younger asian guy come in asking about a car for a business lease, they are probably serious about leasing.

Yeah, I think they are just too lazy...

next time walk in and don't talk to anyone, when a sales person comes up to you ignore them, then pull out a wad of cash lay it on the reception counter and proceed to chat amongst yourselves. after a brief 10 to 15 minutes, point to the particular model and say gas it up for me this afternoon.

Lets put it this way.
Openroad Audi is horseshit.
The service advisor's doesn't know anything about Audi's, and they basically blame everything on your "mods" when it's not even relevant to the problem.
Earlier this week i went with my buddy to look at cars on boundary, we saw operating time for Openroad was XX-9pm, so we wanted to check out Brian Jessel first since they close at 8pm. So as we make our way towards Openroad, the dealership was closed. First ever experience with a dealership not going by their operating hours, very sad experience.
You know the dealership is shit when they don't even go by their operating hours.
PS: Had the best salesperson ever at Capilano Audi, His name was Sin. Realized the smaller the dealership, the better the sales team and service is.

We went to Autowest BMW and dealt with Ludia Li. What a difference. She did sit with us for the testdrive, but she handed the keys to my boss, sat in the backseat, and told us to go for a drive.

For the same lease price, openroad audi was only willing to give him a 2.0L A4 FWD. BMW was willing to give him a 328i xdrive. Oh, and the BMW had a 39 month lease, A4 had a 48 month lease, both were base model autos.

I know that the lease rates would be different, but the cars had like a $6-7K difference in MSRP pricing.

...like I said, the 09 Audi's are nice, but that nice.

however, Ludia Li knows close to nothing about cars. the only reason she is successful in selling cars is because she can relate to all the see-lais in richmond

^ exactly.

You don't really have to know everything about cars to sell cars.

You have to be able to keep the customer happy through the process, you have find out what the customer is looking for, and then if you are able to get them into a the right vehicle at the right price, you'll be able to sell it.

FYI - Don't fucking go to a dealership at the last minute before they close. Salesmen do not get paid by the hour.

My friend had a good experience with Openroad Audi.

He bought a used 135i from George there. Test drive was good, allowed plenty of time, and price haggling wasn't too bad (got $2k off the listed price off the bat, and another $1k after).

Car was looked after, even got the staff to do a repolish of the car twice cause there were a couple of minor imperfections (black car too).

Filled the car with a full tank of gas before he picked it up, and even came in on his off day to deliver it.

Most of the time it's the people you deal with, rather than the dealership that is unpleasant.

Openroad has a reputation to keep, therefore if there are any issues, I would write an email to their complaints dept.

Same shitty experience with audi, but this one is richmond audi !

went in the dealership with a few thousand dollar cash, looking to put down a deposit for the A4 wagon, salesperson told us to go back in a year and walked away.
So, we headed ovre the street to Richmond Mercedes and Patrick gave the best service ever. We got about 6 Mercedes in the past 9 years from him. The newest member is the 2010' GLK350 parking in the garage now !
I would never buy an Audi in Vancouver if Audi kept those attitude !
