| Buy Gatsby online, RS members get 10% off! KakoiStyle.com is a site I just launched this week, specializing in grooming & styling products from Japan. We carry everything from hair care products, to hair styling products, to face washes, deodorant and more.
Some of the brands we currently carry are:
Gatsby (entire lineup)
Lucido-L (womens hair styling)
VS Sassoon Premium (Japan's Premium line up shampoo and conditioner)
Asience (Japanese hair care products designed for Asian hair)
UNO (coming soon)
More coming soon!
The store has just launched, so there may be some bugs. If you find any, please use the contact form on the site to let me know.
Shipping is based on weight, with a $3 surcharge for registration and fees. You will pay not a penny more than we do for shipping! We offer registered Airmail and EMS (3 day) shipping. Shipping is calculated immediately, so you will know what the total cost of your order will be as soon as you add something to your cart. Note that shipping for a single product will seem expensive because the $3 is added. But with each product you add after that, the shipping only goes up by weight. EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT FOR RS MEMBERS
From now until the end of March, all RS members will get a 10% discount on their first order by using the code REVSCENE upon checkout. This is a sort of thank-you to the RS members for their support, and also an incentive to help me make sure the site is running totally smoothly before I fully launch the site. You can use it on orders of any size!
So check out KakoiStyle.com for your Japanese grooming and hair products needs!
This is also an announcement, but I thought I would add a thread too, if people want to discuss it here |

I know the prices are ridiculous in Canada, I just hope I can compete even having to charge shipping. Things like shampoo and conditioner are expensive to ship, but smaller things should be OK.

i'm not too familiar with all the different gatsby brands. So, you being the official spokesperson/salesman, I'd like to know what you'd recommend for a fellow like me.
I've bought gatsby products before but all I remember from using them is they came in different colors. I was also using both wax and clay.

Well it depends on what kind of hair style you have. The Moving Rubber series has something for most styles. Some are waxes, some are clays, some have wet look, some dry, etc.
If you go to that page, you can see the different hair lengths and styles, and pick the best one for you. Also on the bottom of every page you'll find a styling advice video.

The others are for much MUCH MUCH longer honger/japanese style haircuts.
sidenote, I thought you didn't like Gatsby products Skinny?

If you will carry the higher end stuff then I'll order (I currently use Mugens Gets + Super Hard Wax but I want to try some other, better stuff). If you get Nakano hair wax then you'll have a permanent customer :P
And the videos have a hilarious voiceover! Go on the site and play them, lol. (Sorry, Skinnypupp!)

I have nothing against Gatsby itself, just the price that people charge to buy it in Richmond and other online sites. It's not a high end salon brand, so it shouldn't cost high end salon brand prices! I use some Gatsby products myself (I really like their hair spray)

so how much is one typical Gatsby can that they usually carry in Richmond? and how big are the sizes you have on the site? doesn't state what's the weight.
is the site secure? doesnt' seem to be...

The sizes are all stated, they are the same sizes you can get anywhere.
The payments are done through Paypal which is all secure. No credit card information passes through Kakoistyle.com at all.

Anyone else confirm that the pink and purple ones are good for a matte spikey look on shorter hair? Thanks.
