If all parties are kewl with it. I think if it happened a long time ago, it's acceptable, but only if everyone's all thumbs up.

This is the attitude I don't understand. Once you've broken up you no longer have a stake in your ex's life. If your friend and 'them' want to do something, anything, who are you(me) to say anything about it?

If you were into a friends ex and they say that its ok to go for it but you can tell that they are kind of hesitant about it
would you still go for it ?

What makes you think I'd ask my friend in the first place? I think you missed my point.

Personally I draw the line at marriage, friends' exs' that made it to the fiancee or married stage are off limits just because those situations have always become messy and loaded with drama.

Well yes there is deff i big line at marriage and what not
but if you did for say have a friend that dated some chick for like a year or if not longer you wouldnt ask them how the felt about it or if they were cool with it?
