idk how many of you will consider this to be a good freebie, but the police departments and icbc are giving out safety reflectors to affix to your bags or clothing when you walk around at night.
in norway, finland, and lots of other parts of europe it's becoming the norm to use a small reflector when you commute around at night time. we don't really think about it here, but visibility is important when crossing the street or just anywhere at night really, especially when it's raining and hard to see shit out of a car window.
just go to a police station and ask for one and they'll give it to you. i picked one up from nwpd over the weekend. give some to your friends and family members too.

There's a section in the app where you redeem the points for merchandise.

The points are listed as non-transferable. Also it's still working as of right now (8:20am PST)

Just received the gift card from the NCIX points today.
It was sent as an e-gift card in the app.
I think you have to have the app to get the GC number, cus i checked on the desktop site and my email and I didn't receive it there.
