heck yeah they are! Those things are built to be an everyday supercar and can easily roll over 300k. Body is aluminum so no need to worry bout rust either.

Awsome reliability, only problem is finding one in good condition nowadays!

Parts actually are easy to find in the States, decent priced.

If you're getting a 91 NA1 try to get one thats out of "Snap-Ring" Transmission range. Read and find out more on www.nsxprime.com

I find parts to be extremely expensive. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places then lol

I was close to buying an NSX about a month ago. Make sure the transmission is out of the "snap ring" range as mentioned earlier, timing belt and water pump have been changed according to manufacturer schedule.

Other things to look out for are window regulators, very pricey to replace. A/C is another thing as well. Just keep in mind that it is a 18 year old car if you are buying a '91, so expect to replace some things to have it running in tip-top condition. There was a black one on Craigslist for sale I checked out for $22,000. Did a Carfax on it and found out it wasn't worth it. Good luck with the search, I'm still looking as well!!

go ask on nsxprime. Also there's a earlier Honda Tuning Magazine that tells you EVERYTHING about buying used nsx. Good luck

Well said. They can be very reliable if you take care of them. OEM parts are easily available and most of the nic-nacs share common part numbers with other Honda's and Acura's. The window regulator goes for about $650 USD. The equivalent part for a Civic would be about $150. OEM parts are MUCH cheaper in the US for some reason even after the exchange rate but I find that most places that offer parts on-line will not ship to Canada. If you pick up a an older one, expect to be replacing any or all of the following if they have not been replaced recently already:
-window regulators
-coil packs
-brake rotors
-various seals and rubber parts (they tend to crack and dry out over time)
-timing belt
-water pump
-coolant hoses (all 20-something of them!)

As for aftermarket parts, they can get VERY pricey. I'm assuming this because manufacturers have to do lower production runs. If the transmission IS in the snap ring range, the world is not over. Just replace the snap ring. Easy fix.

NSX's are way to over-priced. Get a TT Supra 6 speed. There around the same price. Better performance, and more looks.

I'm pretty sure you would get more looks from the NSX then a Supra. The design of the NSX is timeless, it really was ahead of its time. Supra on the other hand looks like a boat.

There both good cars, I suppose it comes down to personal preference.

How many NSX's do you know that have 600hp with minimal mods?

Thanks for the suggestion, but i don't want a supra.

and as cool and as tempting as it sounds, i can't afford to have a 600hp car.

i'm going to stick with the NSX for now.

maybe he's comparing it to the nsx?

in the few best motoring vids i've seen with both the mkiv supra tt and nsx (unmodified) lapping on the track, it's always the supra that falls behind

learn to read? he said it looks like a boat.

a supra is a beautiful car. but imo if you put it side by side an nsx, it's no contest. supra still has the "normal" car look. nsx is pure supercar but not in a dated "zomg look at the louvers on that!" way.

NSX is a truly timeless machine. if u do happen to get a 91 and up, get a 01+ front end conversion. Sexy as fuck

Supra just reminds me of Paul Walker.

NSX will maintain its borderline exotic image for years to come.

That's bashing the Supra for sure. Everyone knows NSX's are slow as shit. I even think s2000's are faster than them.

But if you're buying a car based on looks, not performance, get the NSX.

The NSX and Supra are COMPLETELY different cars. Stop comparing the two.

Also, the NSX is not "slow as shit," unless you consider 12.5 - 13.5 second 1/4 mile times slow. It's also lightweight, mid-engined, and handles quite well.

I would much rather have the NSX over the Supra.
