Insuring a Salvage/Rebuilt... Hi, recently a car was written off (repairs cost more than book value - deemed so by ICBC). The car is definately NOT beyond repair.... can it be insured with a few minor fixes, so it drives safely/normally with its current title/status? If not, what steps need to be taken to get it back on the road? |
yea, you gotta do the repairs then get inspections done. Once its passed all inspections needed you can insure it but it will be registered at a rebuilt |
how do i find out what repairs are mandatory for inspection? must the airbags be replaced - the reason i ask is older vehicles dont even have them.... |
How about visiting the mechanic who will be doing the inspection and asking him that question? |
basically you have to do everything that it had when stock! |
